  • TharnType

    1. TharnType

    Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes

    1.0

This series is incredibly problematic, and the biggest issue is how it romanticizes sexual assault and toxic behavior.

From the beginning, Tharn repeatedly crosses boundaries. He kisses Type while he’s asleep, touches him without consent, and even gives him hickeys when he’s drunk. At that point, Type clearly dislikes him, so none of this can be framed as mutual or romantic,it’s harassment. The show never properly addresses this and instead treats it as part of their “romance,” which sends a terrible message.

Type’s behavior is also deeply toxic. While his trauma explains his anger, it does not justify the constant hitting, slapping, and verbal aggression toward Tharn.

The handling of trauma is one of the worst aspects. Type’s past sexual assault is resolved unrealistically fast, as if love alone can fix deep psychological wounds. There’s no real exploration of healing, making it feel shallow and dismissive of serious issues.

Tharn, meanwhile, is not portrayed as accountable. His manipulative behavior, pushing boundaries, pressuring Type, and sulking when things don’t go his way is never truly criticized by the narrative. Their first sexual encounter is especially uncomfortable, as Type agrees out of pressure and obligation rather than genuine consent.

The antagonist storyline is equally disturbing. The show attempts to create sympathy for a character responsible for horrific actions, including orchestrating assault, which feels completely unjustified.

While the actors have good chemistry and the OST is enjoyable, that doesn’t excuse the harmful themes. Beneath the steamy scenes and emotional moments, the writing normalizes toxic dynamics and mishandles trauma.

Overall, despite its popularity, this is not a healthy or well-written romance.

  • Love Sick

    2. Love Sick

    Thai Drama - 2014, 12 episodes

    6.5

This is one of those BLs that felt amazing while watching in 2014, but doesn’t fully hold up afterward. The first two episodes are honestly confusing and not very strong. It really only starts getting better around episode 2.

The story has a lot of potential, and I understand why it’s considered a classic, but the execution feels pretty mid. It’s not unwatchable, but it’s missing key elements that could’ve made it much stronger.

What I did enjoy was the slow-burn romance between Noh and Phun. Their relationship takes time to develop, which makes it feel more natural compared to shows where couples get together too quickly.

However, the acting was inconsistent. Some emotional moments didn’t fully land, scenes where certain feelings felt unclear or hard to read.

A major issue is the number of side couples. There are simply too many, and most of them feel unfinished and underdevelopped. Because of this, Noh and Phun get very limited screen time, which is frustrating since they’re the main focus.

Another frustrating point is the lack of clear communication, especially with Noh not being honest with Pang. While they are young, the situation still feels unnecessarily dragged out.

Overall, I get why people love this series , it helped shape Thai BL but for me, it’s a mixed experience. You’ll probably either really enjoy it or not connect with it at all.

  • Love Sick Season 2

    3. Love Sick Season 2

    Thai Drama - 2015, 36 episodes

    7.0

I’ll be honest , I was excited seeing this had 36 episodes, thinking we’d get more romance and cute moments. Instead, it felt like a drag. There are way too many unnecessary flashbacks, obvious product placements, and side plots (PopShay, JeedGrace, girl drama) that slow everything down without really adding to the main story.

The biggest issue is pacing. The main couple, Noh and Phun, don’t get nearly enough focus, and their story gets buried under all the extra content. Some side characters like Earn, Ohm, Film, and Golf honestly outshined the main leads in acting.

That said, the series still has its strengths. It’s not just about romance, it explores friendships, student life, sexuality, cheating, and personal growth. Watching relationships evolve and seeing characters learn to communicate better was enjoyable and there’s some good comic relief when things get heavy.

Some storylines had potential but were stretched too far. The vacation arc could’ve been much shorter, and certain conflicts (like hiding cheating or lack of honest communication) felt frustrating. The side couples were hit or miss , Ohm’s story was solid, but others like Earn/Pete felt underdeveloped and rushed at the end.

Overall, it’s very much a product of its time. Back when I started BL  , I loved it. Now, it feels outdated and overly long. I’d still recommend to watch it if you're up for it !

  • HIStory2: Crossing the Line

    4. HIStory2: Crossing the Line

    Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes

    9.0

The plot itself isn’t anything new or groundbreaking, but the acting and chemistry completely carry this series.

This is a really well-written and well-produced mini-series that’s easy to enjoy. The cast is incredibly charming, and their interactions feel natural and genuine. The chemistry between the leads is especially strong—it never feels forced, and their push-and-pull dynamic keeps things engaging. I also liked that their relationship doesn’t rely on strict roles, which feels more realistic.

The volleyball theme adds a nice layer to the story. It’s not just about romance, but also dreams, growth, and not giving up, even if that part could’ve been explored more. It even gives slight Haikyuu!! vibes but gayer.

The intimacy is a big highlight. The kisses feel natural and not awkward, and even small moments or lines can give you butterflies. The supporting characters are also fun to watch, and the senior’s relationship with his sister adds a lot of warmth.

The music fits the scenes well and enhances emotional moments nicely.

However, the short length (8 episodes) makes some parts feel rushed. And the biggest issue for me was the stepbrother side storyline. It felt unnecessary, and I genuinely don’t understand how people can call them their favorite couple. That dynamic is just uncomfortable to watch, and it definitely took away from the overall experience.

Overall, despite that flaw, this is still one of the stronger entries in the HIStory series , short, sweet, and very rewatchable.

  • Lily Fever

    5. Lily Fever

    Korean Drama - 2015, 9 episodes

    5.5

This GL is honestly… all over the place. I’m not even sure if there is a clear plot or if it just pretends to have one and then abandons it halfway through. It’s chaotic, confusing, and the ending feels super open to the point where it’s more frustrating than intriguing.

That said, it’s weirdly entertaining. It’s the kind of short series you watch just to pass time and enjoy some funny, random GL moments rather than for a cohesive story. The episodes are so short that it almost feels like a collection of chaotic skits rather than a fully developed drama.

The biggest issue is definitely the lack of structure and character development. There was real potential at the start, especially with the characters and even the idol-industry angle, but it never fully commits to anything. Everything feels underdeveloped, like ideas were introduced and then immediately dropped. The ending especially just leaves you like… “that’s it?”

But I won’t lie, the acting is actually pretty solid, and the chemistry works. The kiss scenes feel surprisingly natural and not awkward, which is rare and definitely a highlight. The characters themselves are likable too, even if they’re written in a very messy and inconsistent way.

The music is another plus. The opening in particular is super catchy and full of personality, it honestly sets a tone that the show itself doesn’t fully live up to.

Overall, I wouldn’t rewatch it, but I also didn’t hate watching it. It’s confusing, messy, and kind of ridiculous but that’s also where its charm comes from. If you go in expecting a serious, well-written GL, you’ll be disappointed. But if you just want something short, chaotic, and a little unhinged, it’s actually a fun ride.

  • HIStory3: Trapped

    6. HIStory3: Trapped

    Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes

    10

I’ve genuinely lost count of how many times I’ve rewatched HIStory 3: Trapped ? it’s that kind of series.

The cast really carries the show. The chemistry feels natural, and you can tell they understood their characters while also being comfortable with each other, which makes every interaction work so well.

Shao Fei and Tang Yi have one of the best enemies-to-lovers developments. It’s not rushed, they actually build it. You understand Tang Yi’s walls and why Shao Fei pushes so hard. I love how Shao Fei is so open about his feelings, while Tang Yi slowly softens and becomes vulnerable. Their dynamic keeps you hooked the whole time.

The story is very engaging too. It keeps you guessing and lets you form theories, which makes it hard to stop watching.

Zhao Zi and Jack were a really sweet side couple. Their relationship felt genuine, but I wish they had more screen time because their development is mostly implied.

It’s not perfect though. The beginning can feel messy and a bit cringe, and the police side is very unrealistic. Some scenes don’t make much sense if you think about them too deeply.

Still, it’s emotional, addictive, and memorable. The romance and character growth really make it stand out despite its flaws.

  • The Handmaiden

    7. The Handmaiden

    Korean Movie - 2016

    10

    YES

  • Manner of Death

    8. Manner of Death

    Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes

    10

EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH Manner of Death!

I came for MaxTul and stayed for the series. Episode 13 wrecked me , I couldn’t stop crying. This BL isn’t just about romance,  it’s a murder mystery thriller with suspense, intrigue, and moral depth. As a sucker for crime shows, I appreciated the attention to detail : autopsies, legal procedures, and the 5 manners of death were handled thoughtfully.

The cast is phenomenal. Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai as Dr. Bun and Max Nattapol Diloknawarit as Tan have incredible chemistry. Their characters’ partnership grows into a deep, slow-burn romance without overshadowing the murder-mystery plot. Side characters like Jane, Rung, and Pued add depth, showing that appearances can be deceiving, and even family can be manipulative or cruel. Inspector M represents moral struggle, while villains like the Congressman, Police Chief, and Judge illustrate how power can corrupt.

The story keeps you guessing, with tiny clues and revelations leading to gut-punch twists. It explores human complexity, betrayal, trauma, and love in realistic ways, and balances tension with moments of humor, Bun’s suspicious side-eye at Tan or his overprotective antics had me laughing out loud.

There are minor flaws: some convenient plot points, improbable recoveries, and pacing issues. The production is dark and atmospheric, matching the small-town murder-mystery vibe, and while there’s no OST, sound effects work effectively.

Manner of Death is incredible : the BL romance is incidental, not the focus, seamlessly woven into a gripping whodunnit. MaxTul deliver both romance and drama flawlessly. This series is one of the best BLs I’ve seen, standing out for its story, acting, and emotional impact.

If you love murder mysteries, suspense, and well-crafted BL, this show is unmissable.

  • You're My Sky

    9. You're My Sky

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    7.5

You’re My Sky is an underrated BL series that truly surprised me. I stumbled upon it and was instantly hooked by the three couples and the summer-y, vibrant aesthetic. The first few episodes may mislead viewers, but the story quickly grows into a heartfelt, realistic exploration of love, friendship, and personal growth.

The series follows Sport Science students navigating romance, ambition, and self-discovery. Dome and Vee’s forbidden love is the most compelling, complex, and emotionally charged pairing, while Fah & Torn and Saen & Aii provide variety and warmth. The characters feel real, with nuanced inner conflicts rather than caricatures. Even the “villains” are multidimensional.

Production is beautiful: warm yellow-orange tones, smooth editing, and music that captures the series’ energy. Acting is solid across the board, with newcomers Kris & Porsche (Dome & Vee) standing out for their intensity and chemistry. The other pairings are charming, though some performances are calmer or a bit uneven.

The main drawback is pacing. Ambitious storytelling compressed into 12 episodes leads to time jumps that skip important scenes, especially for Dome & Vee, weakening the emotional payoff. Some relationships feel underdeveloped post-time jump, and the finale leaves key moments unresolved. Music is fine but unremarkable.

Despite flaws, the show delivers heartfelt romance, believable characters, and stunning visuals. Dome & Vee alone make it worth watching. I’d recommend giving it a chance, especially beyond the early episodes, it’s a slow burner that rewards patience.

  • Rak Diao

    10. Rak Diao

    Thai Drama - 2022, 15 episodes

    9.5

Pls make more BL/GL sitcoms ,  I want this!!! Also, I want a Season 2!!! This was a real surprise.

This BL sitcom was a complete surprise. At first, Episode 1 felt awkward and slapstick, with an overused laugh track but I’m so glad I stuck with it. By Episode 2–3, the story’s charm and humor became clear and by the end, the chemistry between Rak and Diao is electric. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is handled with originality: Rak may hold power at work, but Diao holds it at home, and both are strong, capable, and clever , not the typical seme/uke stereotypes. The show even cleverly contrasts their interactions with a fujoshi writing a BL story, highlighting how real dynamics are more compelling than clichés.

Rak and Diao are both excellent actors. Win as Diao nails impulsiveness, sweetness, and realism in drunkenness, while Rak’s expressions convey emotion effortlessly. Their playful “cat-and-dog” interactions are a joy, and their wardrobe and style are visually striking. Even small glances and long stares carry heat and meaning.

The sitcom format works surprisingly well, with light, fluffy humor, relatable work and friendship situations, and a touch of romance. Episodes are mostly self-contained but build an overarching arc. Music supports the story beautifully, elevating key moments without being intrusive.

Flaws exist, overused laugh tracks, some sitcom tropes feeling forced, and a lack of full-on romantic payoff (only a couple of accidental lip touches). Yet these don’t overshadow the enjoyment. The series balances comedy, romance, and genuine emotion, making it one of my favorite BLs.

  • Semantic Error

    11. Semantic Error

    Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes

    9.5

The best KBL out there. Fight me. Illogically addicting!

“Semantic Error” may not reinvent the wheel , university setting, enemies-to-lovers, a seemingly straight guy falling for another but execution makes it irresistible. The pacing is steady, humor light, and cinematography clean, with vibrant colors and cozy fall vibes. The soundtrack, especially Coldin’s Romantic Devil, elevates every scene.

The main strength? Chemistry. Park Seo Ham as Jang Jaeyoung and Park Jae Chan as Chu Sangwoo are absolutely electric. Seoham’s Jaeyoung is confident, kind, and fun; Jae Chan’s Sangwoo is introverted, obsessive about rules, but charmingly sweet. Their playful banter, subtle glances and gradual attraction make every interaction feel real. Supporting characters add meaningful moments without stealing focus.

Yes, some pacing is a bit repetitive, and Jae Chan’s robotic acting fits Sangwoo’s personality. Minor misses like the stalker-start plot point exist, but they don’t detract from the show’s appeal. The series never feels forced; each scene builds tension, humor, or affection authentically.

Despite overused tropes, the show is thrillingly addictive , each episode leaves you wanting more. The leads’ genuine enjoyment in their roles adds heart, and the story balances romance, comedy, and relatable university life perfectly. Short, well-paced, and visually appealing, it’s comfort watching with real emotional payoff.

  • KinnPorsche

    12. KinnPorsche

    Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes

    8.5

Liked KinnPorsche! It stayed interesting until the end, and I appreciated that it addressed sexual assault instead of ignoring it completly. Don’t expect the healthiest couple dynamics, but it’s worth it if you’re not here just for romantic/cute BL.

The wait for this mafia-themed BL paid off. The cast’s dedication, three directors collaborating, and top-notch production make it visually stunning. Action and mafia themes are strong, but world-building is thin; early on, Porsche is thrown into his bodyguard role with little context. Once the story focuses on Porsche’s parents’ death and Vegas/Pete’s unconventional romance, it gains depth.

Themes of abuse, mental health, manipulation, and family pressure are ever-present. Characters are complex: Kinn is flawed but trying to do better; Porsche is chaotic, comedic, yet caring; Vegas is vile but compelling; Pete is pure-hearted; Tankhun steals scenes. Kim is best left unmentioned. Relationships are dark and morally gray : borderline sexual assault, abduction, manipulation and the show unfortunately mostly avoids showing serious consequences.

Story arcs are layered: Kinn/Porsche’s romance, Vegas’ self-love journey, Pete’s recovery, Chay’s first heartbreak. Pacing isn’t perfect; some storylines (like Vegas/Pete) feel late, but overall handling is solid.

Acting is excellent: Mile (Kinn) is convincing, Apo (Porsche) balances humor with trauma, Bible (Vegas) is chillingly effective, Barcode (Chay) is touching. Chemistry is undeniable.

Misses: unhealthy relationships, confusing plot points (Kim’s investigation, Tawan’s return), inconsistent action budget, and the Big/Ken ending. Still, cinematography, production values, and soundtrack elevate the series.

KinnPorsche is dark, wild, and flawed but thrilling. Mafia BL at its most intense, with unforgettable characters, incredible acting, and a story that sticks with you. Tankhun is iconic , wish we saw more!!

  • My School President

    13. My School President

    Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    8.5

A silly, funny little series about high school idiots falling in love chaotically , and I loved it <3 Also, Gemini and Fourth’s chemistry?? Insane!!

My School President isn’t original: high school, secret crush, enemies-to-lovers ,we’ve seen it all. But not like this. It takes familiar tropes and turns them into something fresh, heartfelt, and genuinely fun. It’s like a gay musical full of energy, warmth, and emotion.

At its core is Tinn and Gun: the perfectionist school president secretly in love with the carefree music club leader. Their dynamic starts as rivalry (saving the music club vs school rules) but slowly grows into something soft and real. Their relationship is one of the healthiest I’ve seen : steady development, communication, and no dragged-out misunderstandings.

The show balances fluff with deeper themes: grief, fear of first love, homophobia, and failure. It never lingers too long on conflict, issues are resolved quickly, keeping every episode fresh and engaging. No filler, no boring mid-series slump.

What really makes it shine is the characters and relationships beyond romance: friendships, family dynamics, and especially the parents. Both Tinn and Gun’s moms love their sons deeply, just in different ways, and their scenes hit hard emotionally.

Production-wise, it’s clear a lot of care was put in. The cinematography is warm and vibrant, the styling is surprisingly good for a school setting, and the music is AMAZING. The OSTs are catchy, emotional, and perfectly integrated into the story , you’ll have them stuck in your head.

Acting is solid across the board, but Gemini and Fourth carry the show with natural chemistry and charm. Their small moments , glances, teasing, soft confessions , feel real and earned.

It’s not perfect (side characters could use more depth) but overall it’s wholesome, funny, and deeply comforting.

One word for this show : fluff.

  • Step by Step

    14. Step by Step

    Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes

    8.0

It’s an actual slow burn and I really liked it! Just wish we had more couple moments. Great acting and chemistry, but if you can’t handle slow pacing, this isn’t for you.

Step by Step lives up to its name. The development between Jeng and Pat is gradual, full of pining and honestly very satisfying. Their chemistry is strong and both actors did a great job bringing emotional depth to their characters.

Pat’s journey stood out to me. His relationship with Put showed that not all relationships work out and sometimes letting go is necessary. His emotional side felt realistic at times, though I do think it was overdone , he cried a lot and it sometimes made him feel immature and impulsive. His communication, especially during the big conflict, was frustrating, and the resolution didn’t fully make up for how harsh he was toward Jeng.

Jeng, on the other hand, felt more grounded. He had flaws (like being a bit of a micromanager), but he cared deeply for Pat and learned from his mistakes. His love felt genuine and consistent.

Side characters were a mix. I loved Pat’s friend group, especially Ae, but some arcs felt unnecessary or poorly handled , Jaab and Jane’s storyline, especially the cheating plot, was a big miss. Chot, though, was an absolute standout and easily one of the best characters.

The show tackles themes like work pressure, emotional growth, relationships, and even family struggles well. Some scenes, like Pat’s breakdown about his birthday and parents, hit really hard emotionally.

That said, pacing sometimes caused an issue. Time skips were confusing and the ending felt incomplete, leaving important plot points unresolved.

Overall, it’s a good and slow drama with strong acting, solid chemistry, and emotional moments but uneven writing and pacing hold it back.

  • Show Me Love

    15. Show Me Love

    Thai Drama - 2023, 9 episodes

    6.0

Okay, I can see why people liked this, but it just wasn’t for me , I was honestly bored.

It started off decent but went downhill once the beauty pageant arc began. The story became messy and unfocused, like the writers didn’t know what they wanted to tell. Too much time was spent on irrelevant side characters, while Meena and Cherine’s relationship ,the core of the show, felt underdeveloped. Important moments were skipped, timelines jumped back and forth and overall it just didn’t feel cohesive.

The beauty pageant setting had potential, especially with themes like pressure from parents and the darker side of the industry but it wasn’t explored deeply enough. Instead, we got unnecessary drama, weak “villains,” and scenes that felt like filler or fanservice.

That said, the cast is absolutely stunning and Engfa and Charlotte have great chemistry. They carried the show as much as they could even if the writing didn’t give them much to work with. I liked the idea of Meena as a simple girl breaking pageant stereotypes but both leads sometimes felt childish in their interactions.

The biggest issue is the script , there’s a lack of direction, weak character development, and many scenes feel disconnected. It’s rushed and confusing at the same time, which makes it hard to stay invested.

Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have finished it if it weren’t a GL, especially since there’s was still so little representation at the time. It feels like wasted potential because this could have been so much better with stronger writing.

  • Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko!

    16. Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko!

    Japanese Drama - 2024, 8 episodes

    8.0

A goofy, chaotic little GL full of lesbians being dramatic and in love and honestly, I had so much fun with it (also I NEED Ayaka’s wardrobe ?)

It leans into a bit of a cliche setup: bright, bold girl relentlessly pursuing a more guarded, emotionally closed-off older woman shaped by workplace homophobia and sexism. Nothing new on paper but the execution is what makes it shine. Hiroko and Ayaka really push each other to grow especially Hiroko learning to create a safer, more open environment at work, which adds a nice layer beyond just romance.

One of the best parts is the sense of community. The lesbian bar and friend groups make the world feel alive and supportive, not isolated. You get different experiences of queerness: figuring yourself out, being loud and proud, or staying cautious  and the show treats all of them with understanding instead of judgment.

The tone is VERY Japanese: over-the-top, expressive, a bit ridiculous at times but that’s part of the charm. It’s camp, it’s dramatic, it’s full of misunderstandings and exaggerated reactions and if you’re into that vibe, it’s genuinely hilarious. I was literally giggling the whole time.

Acting-wise, the exaggerated style works for the comedy, though it can feel stiff in more emotional scenes.

It also handles intimacy in a softer way. It’s more about body language, tension, and closeness than big romantic moments early on  which makes everything feel more meaningful when it finally happens.

That said, it’s not perfect. There’s a small dip in the middle and if you don’t like exaggerated acting or super campy storytelling, it might not land for you. It’s also pretty short, so it doesn’t fully explore everything it could.

But overall? It’s cute, chaotic, a little cheesy, and really fun. Not something to overanalyze , just sit back and enjoy the lesbians being messy and in love.

  • Aichaku

    33. Aichaku

    Japanese Movie - 2024

    6.5

This is the kind of film that feels like a quiet Sunday afternoon :  soft, comforting, and reflective. After watching more intense films, this felt like exactly what I needed. It’s a great reminder of the charm of Japanese indie cinema.

The beginning is very slow, almost meditative, but as the story unfolds you realize that the pacing is intentional. The film takes its time with small moments and quiet interactions, giving it a very intimate, almost short-film-like atmosphere. One thing that stood out was how natural the bilingual dialogue felt; the transitions between Japanese and English were smooth and authentic, which made the conversations feel very real.

The story focuses more on growth, communication, and finding your place rather than big dramatic conflicts. The LGBTQ+ acceptance in the film is also refreshingly natural, which adds to the warm tone. That said, the pacing is a bit uneven , the first half is very slow while the second half feels rushed for a nearly two-hour film.

Overall, it’s not a masterpiece, but it’s a touching, feel-good movie with a positive message about connection, family, and belonging. Not perfect, but definitely worth watching for its warmth and story.

This was a mess. I kept watching because I thought it had potential but it never improved. What really pisses me off is how casually it treats non-consensual behavior. It blurs the line in a way that tries to make it seem romantic or acceptable, which it absolutely isn’t. It’s especially frustrating in a BL where harmful dynamics in LGBTQ+ relationships are already too often dismissed or fetishized instead of taken seriously. Consent should never be optional no matter the pairing.

There’s also a GL side plot that felt very childish and underdeveloped. It just wasn’t my thing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this show.

  • The Ex-Morning

    36. The Ex-Morning

    Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes

    8.0

The show started strong but became flat in the later episodes. It never completely fell apart, but it played everything very safe. For a second-chance romance, I expected emotional chaos, unresolved tension, maybe a little sting but instead, it felt surprisingly chill, like coworkers reconnecting rather than exes with real baggage. The breakup that supposedly drove the story didn’t hit hard enough, and the reason behind it felt underwhelming.

The chemistry was good and their banter was cute and natural, but chemistry alone couldn’t carry the lack of tension. It’s an easy, light-hearted watch :  low angst, predictable, sometimes over-the-top comedy and you don’t need much brain power to enjoy it. But it also won’t leave a lasting impression.

Overall, it’s decent and pleasant, just not the emotional second-chance slow burn I was hoping for after reading the synopsis. If you’re a fan of the pairing, you’ll probably enjoy it more , just go in with adjusted expectations.

  • Denied Love (Uncut Ver.)

    37. Denied Love (Uncut Ver.)

    Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes

    6.0

I was excited for this series but a bit disappointed. While it became an easy part of my routine, I can’t help but feel it had much more potential. The pacing was generally solid and it was a light, easy watch but the emotional core never fully landed.

The romantic chemistry didn’t completely convince me. The friendship felt natural, but the passion that was supposed to drive their relationship was lacking. Some scenes felt more like line delivery than genuine emotion. The frequent love scenes also felt excessive and somewhat performative, as if they were there more for attention than meaningful development.

My biggest issue is that the story heavily relies on a dramatic backstory — especially one character’s grief , yet never properly explores it. Important moments are repeated through vague flashbacks that end up feeling confusing rather than clarifying. Even by the end, key aspects still felt underdeveloped.

Overall, it’s not bad , it’s watchable, with decent production and actresses who have clear potential but the depth and complexity it aimed for weren’t fully realized. Not a drop, but not a rewatch either.

  • My Stubborn

    38. My Stubborn

    Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    5.0

I have very mixed feelings about this drama. On one hand, it’s messy, frustrating, and often relies on toxic dynamics  but somehow it’s still weirdly watchable.

The biggest issue is Sorn. He constantly crosses boundaries and a lot of scenes blur or ignore consent, which made parts of the show really uncomfortable to watch. His hot-and-cold behavior drags on for far too long, and the excuse for it later doesn’t really justify how he treated Jun. Jun, on the other hand, spends most of the drama being far too naive and letting himself get hurt before finally standing up for himself.

The story itself is pretty weak. It introduces multiple side plots and characters that barely add anything, while the main relationship never gets the emotional depth it needs. Some side couples and secondary characters feel unnecessary.

That said, the leads actually have very strong chemistry and their performances carry the show. The production quality is good, and the actors did the best they could with the script they were given.

Overall, it’s chaotic and far from a great drama but it can still be entertaining in a guilty-pleasure kind of way. If you’re looking for a strong story or healthy romance, this probably isn’t it  but if you’re watching mainly for the chemistry between the leads, you might still enjoy it.

  • Pit Babe Season 2

    39. Pit Babe Season 2

    Thai Drama - 2025, 13 episodes

    7.0

This season started strong but quickly became frustrating. The story often didn’t make much sense, the pacing was uneven, and a lot of time was wasted on inconsequential scenes while other couples barely got any development. NorthSonic should have been introduced much earlier, and KimKenta deserved far more dialogue and screen time instead of just appearing at the end.

The writing is definitely the weakest part of the series. Some plot points :  especially Alan’s arc  felt completely out of place, and the finale relied on clichés and rushed resolutions. Characters often act irrationally and the constant miscommunication makes the story feel repetitive rather than dramatic.

That said, the acting is actually quite good and most of the cast clearly improved compared to the first season. The cinematography is also solid and honestly the cast is the main reason to keep watching.

Overall, the series didn’t really need a second season. It’s not terrible, but the lazy writing and messy pacing hold it back. The actors deserved a much stronger script.

  • Knock Out

    40. Knock Out

    Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    8.5

This series started strong with great chemistry and communication between the leads. Their dynamic was enjoyable at the beginning and I liked that Keen wasn’t a helpless character ,  he actively tried to solve his own problems. The caring moments and intimacy between the couple were also well done, and the production quality and fight scenes showed clear effort.

Unfortunately, the writing becomes messy as the story progresses. There are too many villains and side plots, which makes the story confusing and takes time away from the romance. Some plot points felt unrealistic or poorly explained and by the middle of the series the relationship that initially carried the show starts to get lost in the chaos.

The acting is decent and the leads have good chemistry, but the script doesn’t give them enough strong material to work with. The series also leans heavily into drama and crime elements that sometimes feel exaggerated or almost fantasy-like.

Overall, it’s not a terrible show and it has some genuinely good moments, especially early on. But the weak writing and overcrowded plot prevent it from reaching the potential it clearly had.

  • Me and Thee

    41. Me and Thee

    Thai Drama - 2025, 10 episodes

    9.0

From the very first episode, this series makes it clear that subtlety is not the goal.

It’s chaotic, dramatic, and completely over the top, and that’s exactly what makes it fun. The story brings together two people from totally different worlds: Peach, a grounded and thoughtful photographer, and Khun Thee, a ridiculously dramatic rich man who seems to live permanently inside a soap opera. Watching their worlds collide leads to a lot of hilarious, awkward, and surprisingly heartfelt moments.

Khun Thee is easily the highlight. He’s arrogant, clueless, and incredibly dramatic, but his sincerity makes him weirdly endearing. Peach works perfectly as his counterbalance : calm, observant, and emotionally intelligent. Their dynamic is chaotic but charming, and their chemistry makes the relationship very enjoyable to watch.

The comedy is exaggerated and very self-aware, which makes the ridiculous moments land well. At the same time, there are softer emotional layers beneath the humor, especially as the characters slowly grow and understand each other.

Some of the side characters and couples feel underused, though. There were interesting dynamics hinted at, but they didn’t get enough development. The mafia background also feels more like a plot device than something meant to be taken seriously.

Overall, it’s a warm, chaotic romcom that knows exactly what it is and fully commits to it. It’s funny, charming, and easy to enjoy  especially if you’re willing to embrace the absurdity.

  • Boys in Love

    42. Boys in Love

    Thai Drama - 2025, 12 episodes

    7.0

This series was much more mature than I expected. While it’s a light and fluffy high school story, what really stood out was how the characters actually communicate. Instead of dragging out misunderstandings, most conflicts are talked through, which is refreshing for a BL. The writing feels simple but thoughtful, focusing on everyday teenage problems, insecurities, and first love.

Kim and Mon are absolutely adorable. From Kim searching for the book Mon wanted, to Mon reading the entire Doraemon series because of Kim’s recommendation, their story is full of sweet moments. Their stargazing scene and confession were highlights. Even when they argue, they talk things through, making their relationship feel surprisingly healthy.

Shane and Kit are total opposites : Shane serious and reserved, Kit playful and carefree but their chemistry works perfectly. Shane helps Kit focus, while Kit teaches Shane to enjoy life. Their scenes are funny, sweet, and natural.

Tar and Per are supportive best friends with hints of something more, though this storyline was left unfinished, leaving potential unexplored.

Nat and Tan, the teachers, were surprisingly charming and could have been my favorite storyline. Their interactions start awkwardly, but subtle moments build a quiet, believable connection. The calm, patient approach of one against the slightly stubborn personality of the other is endearing and realistic. Their understated chemistry , glances, hesitant gestures, small acts of consideration , carries more weight than overt romance. I wish the series had devoted more time to them, as their slow-burn could rival the main couples in emotional impact.

Overall, the plot is simple and safe, but the characters and wholesome relationships make it very enjoyable. Not groundbreaking, but if you want a soft, heartwarming series about first love, friendship, and growing up, this one delivers.

  • Gelboys

    43. Gelboys

    Thai Drama - 2025, 7 episodes

    10

This series offers a raw look at teenage love, identity, and loneliness in a hyperconnected world. Following four teenagers in Bangkok, it explores messy crushes, jealousy, and the confusion of trying to understand love while still figuring out who you are. It doesn’t romanticize relationships instead, it shows how chaotic and emotional they can be at that age.

One of the show’s strengths is its realism. Phones, playlists, and social media play a big role in how the characters interact, reflecting how modern teenage relationships actually work. The series captures the awkwardness of having a crush, wanting validation, and being afraid of rejection.

Baa is one of the most heartbreaking characters. He has quietly loved Fou4Mod for years but struggles to confess because of his introverted nature and fear of ruining their friendship. His loneliness and hesitation make many of his moments deeply emotional and relatable.

Bua represents a different kind of vulnerability. As a mixed Thai-German TikTok creator, he appears confident and popular, but underneath that image he is also searching for validation and connection. His dynamics with the others, especially Baa, reveal a softer and more complicated side of him.

Visually, the series stands out with its documentary-like style, real Bangkok locations, and natural atmosphere that makes the characters feel authentic.

The characters are messy and sometimes frustrating, but that’s exactly what makes them feel real. Overall, it’s a unique coming-of-age story that explores youth, loneliness, and the complicated search for love and belonging.

  • I'm the Most Beautiful Count

    44. I'm the Most Beautiful Count

    9.5

Nut absolutely steals the show as Prince Woradet, strutting in heels, belting out “This is Me,” and bringing unapologetic diva energy to a world that isn’t ready. Every dramatic entrance, every scandalous moment, and every over-the-top flourish makes the series unforgettable.

Ping as Kosol is the perfect counter: stoic, broad-shouldered, devastatingly handsome, with a tiger named Moo Moo, and utterly whipped for Woradet. Bajong adds poetic chaos , his secret love for Woradet, moonlit boat scenes, and accidental kisses create hilarious tension. The love triangle between Kosol, Woradet, and Bajong is comedy gold, with jail scenes and heartfelt poetry that had me laughing nonstop.

Chaiyachet, the little king, is adorable, protective of Kosol, and adds both drama and humor. Jade, Woradet’s devoted servant, is a highlight too, with subtle, heartwarming moments alongside the little king. Pandao, Bajong’s sharp, suspicious sister, adds tension and a different perspective, keeping the story dynamic.

Beyond the romance, the series tackles important themes : representation of the Kathoey community, transphobia, patriarchy, classism, and the balance between duty and personal desires , while staying hilarious and glamorous. Women are celebrated, not stereotyped, and the sibling and friendship dynamics are heartwarming, especially Jade-Ched and Kosol-Banjong relationships.

The historical setting is beautifully detailed, yet Nut’s modern diva energy makes every scene shine. From breathtaking waterfall scenes to absurd culinary “witchcraft,” from hilarious prison lines to chaotic royal comedy, the series delivers nonstop entertainment.

Nut’s performance is iconic: elegance, sass, and chaos wrapped in one, carrying the show with pure queen energy. 9.5/10 : absolute chaos, sass, and joy. Highly recommended.
