Second Lead syndrome that actually hurt

i unlocked second lead syndrome feelings only and i repeat only when i watched this one .... it was deadly to be honest .. wang yu's story and character got entangled in my heart and hurt me so much , i cried so much , like it was feelings , not just feeling bad for the ml ... also lead to arguments and defences and it was my first time ever experiencing the phenomenon ...

not to mention , i was always kdrama addict ever since middle school as little as 8 grade or younger .. up until i watched empress ki , i never cared for any second leads , no matter how many of y'all felt bad or protested .. but this was the journey that unlocked that experience for me

horrible sls , aside from it being the worst writing i've ever seen in a kdrama , the worst kdrama i've ever watched

the drama romanticized murder , stalking , instigated murder, and unthinkable things truly made all excuses for the ml . made me hate him , even tho i love no actually adore his actor , can you believe it ???

and made no excuses for the sl , who deserved to be excused most of the time , was made to be despicable when in reality .. he is not to blame at all .. many of his decisions can be perfectly forgiven and justified contrary to the ml ..

this one is so relatable and very personal to our own lives in a sense where one can't help but feel a sls .... especially because of all the buildup they had all thrown to the trash and her being in love with him too but he just missed his timing
