Fav Dramas and why
-
1. A Dream of Splendor
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
- The romance between the 2 leads was beautiful, they deeply trust and respect each other, and have great communication, I find myself smiling whenever they're together.
- We love a strong fl, she isn't physically smart, but level-headed, smart, and emotionally strong.
- There is also great character development, especially for the fl's friends
- We see the main character constantly having hurdles along they're journey, sometimes they succeed and sometimes they fail, but they always find a way to get back up again.
- This show has great writing; the conversations feel natural and realistic.
- If you're thinking about watching it, just watch it.

2. Alice in Borderland
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
- This was the perfect length for me. Sometimes, I find shows in this genre slowly getting boring, but this has just as many episodes as it needs, keeping me engaged throughout
- The characters were well developed and unique, they had their own stories and were written as more than just a 'side character'
- The action was great, along with the games, which kept me intrigued and interested
- I finished this in a day, so I can confidently say I enjoyed this

3. Beautiful Life
Japanese Drama - 2000, 11 episodes
- The relationship between the two leads is beautiful; they have great chemistry, and watching them together made me smile.
- I think this drama realistically shows the life of a man and a woman burdened by her illness. It shows the separate struggles and insecurities the two have. The FL's brother is also very realistic, with him just wanting his sister to be happy, but he ends up restraining her.
- The acting is great, and I really feel like I can feel the emotions the characters are experiencing.
- Overall, this was a heartbreaking yet wholesome love story that leaves an impact.

16. Reset
Chinese Drama - 2022, 15 episodes
- This is a time-looping drama, which for me is already a good sign.
- The leads find themselves on a bus that constantly gets involved in a crash, and when they die, they go back to being on the bus.
- With each run through, they go through different experiences and get new clues.
- One thing I especially love about this is that even though there were chances for the leads to get off the bus, they chose to stay to save the people.
This drama goes into the backstory of all passengers on the bus, showing that every life is important.
