Vertical Dramas {<6.0}

Sharing my love of Vertical Dramas with you! This list is for the ones I’ve rated with less than 6.0.

Please note - I rate vertical dramas on a different scale than I do the full length dramas. Also, I group all the versions of the same script together & list them in each versions comment in order I’ve watched them to help me keep track. If a version is rated higher than a 6.0 it’s on another list of mine, “Vertical Dramas {6.0+}”.

  • Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le Season 2

    101. Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le Season 2

    Chinese Drama - 2026, 80 episodes

    2.0

This season is literally all 3 women serving their husbands with divorce papers - blehhhh. And it’s all due to lack of communication, misunderstandings, & unnecessary drama. I couldn’t enjoy it at all since nobody was happy. Only finished it cause I watched season 1. Here’s hoping season 3 is better!

    1st - “The Wedding Mix-Up”

2nd - “Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le”

4th - “Zao Gao! He Jie Jie Zou Cuo Le Season 3”

(Since season 3 isn’t on MDL yet, I’ll put it’s review here : while I liked it better than season 2 since everyone was making up, I still wasn’t a big fan of the script. The FL’s reason for wanting to divorce is that the ML is always trying to make her change into a more mature & respectable madam of the family. But Joe, in order for him to win her back, she’s requiring that he be the one to change & become less disciplined & more childish which is quite hypocritical of her. I understand wanting your lover to spoil & indulge you, but I also think each side needs to be willing to meet in the middle. It should never be solely one spouse’s responsibility to make the marriage peaceful… The FL was too immature for me to really enjoy this drama.

One good aspect of this season is that the father-sons relationships were healed & all 3 couples lived HEA. Rating : 3.0

  • Moonlight Romance

    102. Moonlight Romance

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 73 episodes

    2.0

This one was pretty disappointing for me for a couple reasons : 1) the FL’s ridiculousness in not accepting the ML’s feelings right away despite loving him for years, 2) the ML’s stupidity in allowing that delulu girl a continued place in his life even after she confessed to him, 3) the fact that so much drama could’ve been avoided if ML had simply admitted he liked her when she confessed to him & then explained that they needed to wait until she was older due to the age gap, & finally 4) the FL’s continued belief that she had to work harder & be better before she’s worthy of standing by ML’s side. Someone’s worth is not defined by their career, social status, or bank account - it’s by their character. Being a good person who treats others with kindness & respect. Helping those in need & protecting the weaker ones. Speaking out against injustice & defending those unable to defend themselves. Being honest, sincere, & genuine. So, for me, I just really didn’t enjoy this drama & I skipped a ton while trying to find the time when the FL finally realized she was worthy all along &, even after finishing it, I’m not sure she ever really understood that fact.

  • Take My Bed

    103. Take My Bed

    Korean Drama - 2025, 34 episodes

    2.5

Third vertical version I’ve watched of this script (remakes of “Marry My Husband”). This one is such a choppy version that left big gaps in the storyline as well as an underdeveloped romance between the Leads. The scene/ep changes were jarring in a way that kept me from being able to just enjoy the story. I liked the other versions I’ve watched better.

1st - “Matchmaking After the Affair” on iQIYI

2nd - “D-100: Marry My Ex to My Bestie”

  • You Are My Rose

    104. You Are My Rose

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 80 episodes

    5.0

Didn’t love, didn’t hate. Good storyline & nice acting. It felt a bit choppy at times but overall okay. Didn’t really sense any chemistry, though, so that was a downer for me.

2nd - “Wo Yu Mei Gui”

  • Wo Yu Mei Gui

    105. Wo Yu Mei Gui

    Chinese Drama - 2025, 72 episodes

    5.5

The second version I’ve watched of this script. Just like with the first, I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it. I think the biggest problem is when scenes transition it feels like there are important parts cut out which left me feeling like I was missing stuff in both versions. Even with that it’s still a complete story, I just think it could’ve been better in certain aspects. I love this ML, though, so I did enjoy watching this a bit more than the first.

1st - “You Are My Rose”
