Guy Falls in Love First

At first the male lead seemed ambivalent but did a 180 change early on leaving the actress (and us) wondering what the hell was going on.

He definitely fell first and HARD to an almost obsessive level. He wasn't dangerous in fact I was worried for him, that he'd get scarred emotionally.

They roughly fell at the same time, but due to spoilery issues she kept her distance. Instead of accepting her lame excuses he kept after her.

After the usual immature guy hijinks of a guy that age he gets a clue and pursues her in earnest, being the one to try and talk her into a relationship.

He was attracted to her from the first and despite all the obstacles never wavered. 

As soon as he saw her tending to patients he knew he wanted to be by her side and quietly, but steadily pursued her. Awful show but adorable couple.

He was very patient and forthcoming about his interest while she was dragging her heels; perhaps more patient than he should have been given her temperament in the beginning. 

He held a torch for her for years as a kid. It was nice to see after meeting again later that puppy love develop into more, mostly at his prompting.

Though she fell soon after, he was definitely attracted first and helped tip the scales from a crush into a romance, ie. he went for it.

He knew exactly what he wanted and waited patiently (except for the time he didn't, OMG!) while she sorted out her feelings and obligations in life.

His actions gave him away before he was consciously aware. Then he was certain on the depth of his feelings while she was still feeling butterflies.

She was just starting to get into him when something happened and he's left to fall more and more in love on his own. He went a little bit crazy during that time.

He was crushing on her way back when she was his teacher let alone when they met up again.

Because his feelings were initiated by external influences it took him a bit to figure things out. She was just focused on trying to make a living.
