BL Series and Movies

I don't typically like ghost romances since I am a sucker for happy endings and they just generally... aren't? But this one was super cute and well done and is definitely worth a shot. I don't know why it wasn't as popular as some other BLs but you have Singto from SOTUS and Ohm from Bad Buddy and it's honestly super cute.

Definitely worth a watch, IMO.

Watched this forever ago, don't recall it entirely, but the HIStory franchise is usually decent and since they are Taiwanese I love them because it is- currently- the only country in Asia where gay marriage is legal, so the romances feel like they can go that extra step. I gave it 8 stars at the time, as it was one of my first BLs- would probably go a little lower now, might rewatch if I have time to see.

I didn't watch the last episode. To my knowledge, they got their salt and lived happily ever after. Yay, go team!

But seriously- don't watch the last episode. Just don't do it. My rating is based purely on not watching the last episode.

I liked this, although it was pretty heavy at some times. The main couple is cute, as is the side couple. There are definitely some questionable things as far as the police work goes but it's a drama after all. The best part? You can watch the entire show without hating yourself or the showrunners in the end, which can't be said for the other HIStory 3 series. Once again, Taiwan gets extra points for legalized gay marriage (note this extra point is not rewarded when the 'bury-your-gays' trope is in effect.)

Give it a watch, it's not a university BL for a change!

I'm nervous to watch this because I'm not a fan of cheating storylines and BLs have an issue with that in their second seasons. Will pick up one day when I'm feeling strong enough, because the first season was amazing.

I believe this has the highest rating I've ever given a BL (?) along with The Untamed. This series is absolutely beautiful- I was in awe when I watched it. Not just the story, but the cinematography and just... everything- it's an absolutely stunning show.

Watch it, watch it, watch it.

I'm watching this while it's airing and I am obsessed, I watch each new episode about 3 times through the week while waiting for the next and I still can't get enough. It is beautifully acted, filmed and the chemistry is on point. It is rated 18+ so keep that in mind- that being said, once again I'm very happy that more BLs are branching out and away from University settings.

Will update when completed, but for now it's a must-watch.

I really appreciated that GMMTV put together this collection of all the PeteKao scenes from KMA- I wanted to know their story before watching DBK without having to watch the entire KMA series and this was perfect and saved me a lot of skipping. Watch the three episodes on YouTube.

Watching as it's airing, it's cute, fluffy and likes to introduce some traditional Thai foods (think UWMA but less detailed.) Lukchub is what you might think of if a marshmallow was turned into a person- he is cute and fluffy and soft, with maybe not too much substance? Not in a bad way, just in a simple way. Is this a show that makes you think deeply? Not really. But I appreciate that it hasn't taken some lazy writing tropes like miscommunication to cause issues between the MLs. Right now it's a perfectly okay show, and I'm alright with that. Won't win any awards, but it isn't making me regret watching and sometimes that's all you can ask for...

It's quite good for a high school BL tbh- I really enjoyed this one. It had a bit more depth to it than I was expecting, but it wasn't hitting you over the head with anything. You become quite invested in the characters. There is a love triangle, but it is handled really well IMO. It was a small production but done well.

Worth a watch, one of the nice newer KBLs that has come out recently.

I really enjoyed this, it pulled my heartstrings. Another Filipino BL and they did a great job.

Just watch it. 

Just rewatched this- I really love the main couple, AePete, regardless of any drama outside of the show. I hate what they did to Techno. Honestly the main rewatch value to me is with AePete, TinCan isn't so bad though once Can stops freaking out. 

Not gonna lie, I have no intention of watching this. I liked Love By Chance, I don't want it to be rehashed to me in another 6 episodes and I don't like how they decide to change the storyline that was already established in the first season. Maybe one day if I get REALLY bored and want to hate myself.

Wow, I don't know if I can finish this, I keep cringing at the thought of the actors having to act this and at the terrible, terrible wigs. Seriously, just learn to pluck and style your wigs!

All the comments say it's cute though, so I guess it depends on where you land on cute or cringe.

I'm watching as it is airing and getting mad at how short the episodes are. Is it groundbreaking? No, but it's really cute and has a somewhat fresh concept. I am interested to see where they take it, so for now I would say watch it, but if you aren't patient then wait until it's fully aired because a week's wait for only half an hour is just a crime.

It's not bad, although I was definitely more invested in RamKing than the main pairing BohnDuen. I am 100% ready for a second season focused on RamKing.

We want RamKing, and we want them now.

I tried to start this once and then stopped, and I'm now trying to watch it and have gotten to episode 6 and am running out of steam. It's not that it's bad per se, it just feels quite slow-paced, especially with so much being a flashback to their high school days. I have seen some people say that it gets better when the flashback is over, so I'm going to try to push through and will update when I've finished, but man it's a bit of a drag.

Finally, a misunderstanding that helps the MLs love. Not too bad honestly, there is your average Japanese comedy overacting but it suits the tone of the show. I really liked this, to be honest, I enjoyed both the characters and the storyline. It is set in high school, so nothing too serious happens, but it's a cute approach to self-discovery.

Watch it if you like Japanese comedy and something not too serious in tone.

It's short, it's a web drama, and it is all filmed in one location. All that being said, I didn't hate it. The acting was okay, and it was totally watchable.

Watch if you're looking for something short and without too much thinking.
