Never Again

It's a Kdrama classic, and I hate everything about it. The drama, the childishness, how mean the male lead is, how the female lead loses all of her feistiness not even halfway through. There is nothing redeemable about this drama for me. Nothing.

A load of garbage.

This drama was a complete waste of time. Don't waste your brain cells.

What a disappointment this ended up being. It was a standard, cliche storyline for most of its run, but it was innocuous in a way that made it enjoyable. Then the last three episodes happened, and they drained all the fun out of the drama.

Didn't like the age gap, didn't like the romance, didn't like the mystery plotline. So basically...I didn't like anything about this drama.

Prolonged, frustrating to watch, cheating. Enough said.

Would have been a better drama if it had been the 'Ji Wan and Chef Joon/John love story' instead.

Silly nonsense that slowly stopped being enjoyable.

This drama is a big, fat waste of time. I would recommend it to no one. I wouldn't even recommend it to your cat who would watch your screensaver for hours and not get bored.

I would argue he starts as a frog, turns into a prince...then devolves into a frog again.

Kind of a waste of a special. They cram a season's worth of storyline (which would have been enjoyable in a full season) into way too short of a timeframe, and Kahoko spends the entire special trying to live up to her deceased grandmother's entirely unhealthy and unreasonable expectation of being solely responsible for everyone's well-being.

There's also no physical affection between our now married couple, so that's nice. *sarcasm*

I admit there might be a circumstance where I would attempt a rewatch of this again. (I end up having a teenage daughter, and she wants to watch it together?) But otherwise...it's a no from me.

I've now dropped this drama twice. I attempted a rewatch because I genuinely liked the romance (unlike most everyone else). Unfortunately, I eventually remembered why I dropped this drama the first time, and I couldn't even force myself to skip everything in a rewatch just so I could see the conclusion to the romance. The story slowly devolves into (almost) everyone making choices that make no sense in relation to their character goals/motivations.

So I'm drawing a line. One failed attempt at rewatching is enough.
