My list of the best Japanese series I've seen. I am an admirer of screenwriter Yuji Sakamoto. Five of my biggest favorite J-dramas are written by him. High-quality of Anone, Mother and Woman can match any TV-series made in any country. This list includes series that I consider exceptional and impressed me, but also series that did not reach that level of excellence, but were still very entertaining to watch. This list could be even longer.
