Recent Activity Lists

There is some overlap with this list and my other list called "My fave Korean Romance Dramas", but the difference is that this is a list of good Korean romcom dramas and other romance dramas that are pretty sweet and lighthearted (: I tried to avoid dramas with tags like "thriller", "melodrama" etc. when I put this list together. (Those type of romance dramas you can find on the "My fave Korean Romance Dramas" list I mentioned before).  For now these are in alphabetical order but that might change in the future :D

This list is for specifically Chinese shows that are based on an original novel that falls into BL or had a BL pairing.  Notes:I am not including every show that was ever licensed for drama as that would be prohibitively long, but I will include unreleased shows where filming was done.Excluding shows where the source is a Chinese novel/manga but the entire show itself is from another place (e.g. if the show itself is just a Thai drama with a Thai cast and crew)English titles of novels will be based on main English language release if there is one, otherwise I'll try to find a common fan-translation title.

This list will be for full length BL series that were NOT adapted from a novel/manga/etc. and are either full length series or movies (not microdramas).

My definitions:Microdramas = shows with short episode lengths that are often released on social media sites (e.g. Kuaishou, Wechat, etc.) or in the special short drama sections of sites like Youku.  For anyone not familiar with this format, I think of these as the "fanfiction" of dramas.  They tend to be lower budget and extremely fast-paced - they do tend to feel abrupt if binged as a single "movie" rather than as separate videos.  If you go in with the right expectations, it will probably make the viewing more fun.  As there is no standard for microdrama length, I am including anything that does not feel like a full length episode to me - typically 15 min or less.BL(ish) = any show that is actual BL, adapted from BL content, or is "bromance" where the creators clearly meant for it to be watched as BL.  I also define BL (primarily falls into a genre like romance or fantasy but features an m/m couple) as a separate thing from gay film (studies of gay life). Actresses listed first, actors second.
