Choi Ki Hwan is a South Korean freelance announcer. He was born in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea due to his parents' work but returned to South Korea when he was 2 years old. He graduated from Hyundai High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Chinese Studies from Inha University. He made his debut in 2003 as part of the 11th open recruitment for announcers/broadcasters at SBS. In 2009, he won the André Kim Best Star Announcer Award and one year later, he won the Best Announcer Award at the SBS Entertainment Awards and was also part of the coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. In 2019, he became one of the lead announcers in SBS Golf coverage after the retirement of a few senior colleagues. In 2021, he was part of the team covering the opening ceremony and the golfing events at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo that were moved to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the Olympics, he announced he was leaving SBS as part of a voluntary retirement program and is now a freelancer. He is currently represented by Line Entertainment after Kim Gu Ra recommended him to switch agencies.
