Sung Yoo Ri is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, and member of FIN.K.L (핑클). She was born in Tübingen, Germany as her parents were students there. The family returned to South Korea when she was 4 years old. She graduated from Seoul Gwangnam High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Kyunghee University.

She made her debut in 1998 as FIN.K.L's vocalist, visual and maknae with their first album, "Blue Rain". She was chosen as part of the lineup when a scout saw her during her school's field trip.

The group was managed by DSP Media (DSP 미디어) and quickly formed a rivalry with S.E.S. At the time, the trend of the late 1990s was to have K-pop groups sing cute and catchy music. They were noticed for doing the opposite, as their debut album featured an R&B influence and powerful vocals that stood out above all the rest.

FIN.K.L has never officially disbanded, but their last studio album was released in 2002, and all member left DSP in 2006 to focus on their individual activities. They have reunited several times for variety shows or special occasions in 2003, 2005, 2009, and 2019.

In late 2002, she decided to begin her acting career, debuting with a minor role in "Bad Girls" before landing her first lead role one year later in the SBS drama "Thousand Years of Love" and has appeared in many more dramas since then.

She is currently an independent artist.
