It's so refreshing to have a commoner ML rising through the ranks and Ding Yuxi's acting is splendid with all that slauching and quick wit :D. Also the desert is a nice change of scenery.

Why is there no life debt talk? First from LLJ to XJY's mother and from LM to XWY?? I don't think I've watched a historical drama where it isn't mentioned once and I gather it's quite important. My only guess is that it speaks about LM's and LLJ's true character.
Watching again the EP16 carriage/cliff scene it doesn't make sense. First XJY and her mother I think shared a look and most importantly QL and YY gave up fast on stopping the carriage.
