Yes, there are many lawful things that can hurt or traumatize a person, but none of that, lawful or unlawful, is the case in this particular scene. you're talking about abstract ideals, and ideally, all people would only have sex while completely sober, I can agree with that. but that's not reality, because a large percentage of people drink on purpose in order to get braver, that's a fact. not everyone, of course, but that's exactly what Kawi does and he communicated it very well. now, if Pisaeng didn't know shit about Kawi and got him drunk on purpose in order to take advantage of him, that would be a completely different story, and Pisaeng would've been a villain. but that's not how things went at all. was he a pure faultless saint? of course not, he would have stopped the kiss and left the room if he was. but he's only human, so when his long time crush flirted with him and initiated the kiss, he accepted it. but despite being carried away at first, he immediately checked on Kawi when he realized he stopped responding and then stopped everything in an instant. if this makes him a sexual deviant, then I really don't know what to tell you, except - I find it ludicrous. to me - he's only human. imperfect and sometimes carried by emotions, but always choosing the right thing in the end, just like everyone else in this show
And it makes me wonder how can you even enjoy Thai bls when almost every single one has much more "problematic" events and behaviors than Be my favorite which is in my opinion one of the tamest. take any of the generally considered "non-problematic" ones, and we'll find more toxic elements than in bmf. I checked your list and I see we both highly rated Not me, which is great, I love Not me! now let's rip it apart - Sean almost choked White to death and who knows when/if he would've stopped choking him if the gang didn't intervene. at one point Sean handcuffs White to bed and leaves him for a whole day. don't get me started on how many things could have gone wrong if White didn't free himself. White has sex with Sean while Sean thinks he's Black. having sex while claiming fake identity can technically be considering rape. all three things I mentioned are not only morally wrong but also punishable by law. there's more, but I'll stop now. anyway, I'm not claiming YOU're defending these things, I'm just venting my annoyance at bl fandoms' inconsistencies when applying personal moral judgement onto shows. the previous user whose stance you agreed with has no problem with kinnporsche, a show with myriad unethical behaviors while hypermoralizing about bmf. hypocrisy pisses me off, so maybe that's why my responses felt too aggressive to you. no. he stopped exactly when it mattered. If he wanted to take advantage of Kawi, he could've and would've done that, but he didn't. and what you stated: "a drunk person cannot consent" is not a thing, it's an internet myth. you're free to check legal texts of any country you wish, but none of them states that being any level of drunk = automatically incapable of consent. it's only when someone is drunk TO THE POINT of not being able to consent/actively participate. and as soon as Pisaeng realized Kawi isn't really 'there' with him anymore, he stopped. if he continued, it would obviously be a crime. but he didn't.
