It's possible to air an historical/xianxia/wuxia drama in 7 months. The Last Immortal finished filming in April 2023 and it came in December 2023. As you know a xianxia has a lot of CGI, so it should have been longer. Same with the Legend of Zhuohua (a fantasy historical drama). It finished filming in January 2023 and it came in August 2023. Both dramas are on Tencent like this one, so it's possible but I think it will air in Q2 between April and June for this drama.

A sudden drop like IQIYI did with Fighting For Love would be nice. Right now she is not (yet ?) guilty so it should be okay to release her dramas
I don't understand why they don't release their historical dramas. With all the historical dramas they have on the shelves they should release one historical drama per week if they really want to empty them. But they don't do it.
This drama is so funny. I'm at episode 07. The scene where they trick Pei Lan and make her believe she's dying is so funny and Jackie Li plays it so well. And we see her sisters laughing in the background when she says goodbye to her mother
They are rumors that Tencent will release The Last Immortal (Zhao Lusi drama "Ancient Love Poetry spinoff") on October 31st. I would love to but I don't see Tencent releasing Ripe Town on October 13th, WOL and The Last Immortal before the end of this month. Or The Last Immortal count as a November drama since it's released at the end of October ? We will see...
