he was probably killed by his boss, but I doubt that he's really dead, he might just be taking shelter somewhere and try to clear his head. but why the funeral and say he's dead! i don't know. it just doesn't make that sense that they showed his funeral all of a sudden.
also why were those two guys smiling at the back while everyone crying, imagine they had a hand in killing him, im going on a rage bait if that's the case, him dying like that just isn't good.
im expecting a third season. im expecting the return of Baek Jin. im expecting the return of Su ho (i mean him being in the same school or whatever). im expecting the return of Boem Suk, literally not just in thoughts. im expecting a happy and wholesome ending, not just a good ending.
Did the boss kill Baek Jin? Honestly, I don't think he is dead, they showed his funeral all of a sudden, who has read the webtoon? does it clarify %100 that he's dead? or is the ending as open ended as the drama?

it's crazy how cursing people eventually becomes real. he cursed them to get burned alive, although he wasn't the one who did it, the other ones burned them all alive (except the woman, she stupidely went into the fire taking her son with her, i hate her). then the "Your sword will end up piercing your throat" and it did happen, with his own hand holding it, too. A masterpiece, a sad tragic yet beautiful masterpiece, my heart is aching. I love Kang Dong Won alotttt, such a handsome man, every role suits him so well π«Άπ»
they're probably keeping all the fun information for the 3rd season, or a movie, many do that, cause it's not possible to show and explain everything in just 7 episodes honestly i was surprised they only gave us 7 episodes, I expected 20 at least, but nope just 7 episodes.
but that wasn't his first time, in the first season after the war ends and the japanese troops all retreat, but Maeda and remained, and that's cause she decided to drink a water with Najin in it. Apparently the virus did it's work and she became one of those dangerous creatures. she wasn't satisfied and attacked the male lead character (Mr. Jang) and his subordinates, they all died except (Mrs. Nawol), and the male Lead Mr. Jang.
The reason he didn't die is because he also got the Najin virus, and just like the female lead, he had to live 2-3 decades in that form, and was probably still fighting against them, because in the first episode it does show him still fighting them in the Modern world, but later they take away his Najin and he loses his memory, too. and that's where the second season officially starts. So we only saw 2 episodes of him fighting in that Najin form, while he's been in that form for 2-3 decades, and that's alot, it's 20-30 years of being a Najin holder! and the reason why he acted the way he was acting is because before losing his memory he thought the female lead died, and in the second season when he got his memory back, he felt even worse about everything and the need to just confront her and hug her to feel she's really there, alive, he was pretty string but they didn't put the whole focus on him fighting this and that, just the Kuroku's, and the leader.
as for the leader, he wasn't there, he probably left with that girl he cares about since there were no more Najins and he lost the Najin he wanted the most, as well as him probably planning for a better timing to attack or do something again. So it makes sense why he wasn't seen again and why ye didn't get killed, and he will definitely come back in season 3, season 3 is probably the final season as it will be the end of all Najins. and till it begins, half of the population will either be dead or become a Najin holder, too. a full apocalypse. so we'll see his full strength in the third season, as there will be more fighting scenes this time with others and not just the kurokus, + the leader.
