Didn't read the book but from what I saw I think what she cured in the 1st ep wasn't related to his curse but more to him testing poison on himself for cures. For the itching part maybe it's because she touch the scar on his back ( not really a scar but her root???) so maybe her touching it made that part of herself in the ML react causing the itching. For her headaches, those are probably relate to that part of herself that is in the ML, so when he is in pain she has headaches ( for now from poison because she didn't react to the heartache part). Well those are only my assumptions hope we will learn more in the upcoming episodes.
