I was interested in the film because of the rumor that XZ will star in it, but the synopsis doesn't sound interesting. It sounds more like something propaganda-ideological instead of an interesting action, war or psychological thriller film. So it promises to be very boring. I'm judging just by the synopsis.

This drama was bad, just bad. I understand that it was filmed 10 years ago, so I forgive its poor cinematography, terrible lighting, and generally dull shooting style, but I don't forgive its plot boredom. The idea had potential, but nothing just didn't play here. In any case, I found two big pluses there, namely the two fighters who really looked good in either fight scenes or training, and there were enough of those to make it something to look at. I still remember the first time I saw the trailer. At that time I had no idea about Chinese dramas. I remember that I couldn't decide which of the guys was more handsome, because they are both amazing, just in a completely different type of beauty. After watching, I still think they are both extremely handsome and played their characters very well. The drama is not perfect, but if you don't mind strong emotions, it's really worth it.

As for me, the 2 lead rom is really great here. You have to wait a bit for it because it really develops only at the end, but for me it was really worth it. Their story is so warm and beautiful, I would love a series about their further adventures :)

For me personally, the short American dramas that k-ent is now beginning to emulate are simply too short. They don't tell a story.
Because of my fondness for Ji Chang Wook, I'll definitely give this drama a chance, but eight episodes, one day of action means that I won't have an extended adventure like in Empress Ki. Queen Woo I'll watch in one day and the adventure is over. And I'm sad about that.

I am concerned about the short number of episodes. Where did the days go when costume dramas had even 40 episodes? Ok, 40 may be too many, but 22-24 was the ideal length. I don't like short series. They end too quickly :(

TV dramas don't necessarily come out earlier because they have more restrictions and if someone makes a mistake during production that is discovered during the licensing process, the drama will lose at least another 3 months. I haven't heard that this title is on CCTV's or the ministry's priority list, so it's unlikely to jump its queue. Unless there is something I don't know about.
Anyway, I'd rather not have too high expectations and get a pleasant surprise than a sad disappointment.
