There is a vast difference between Kdrama and Cdrama suspense/thriller Romance. But this cdrama is quite good (or atleast in my opion :) LOL)

Yes, until the current part 1 there is no break up

It wasn't a break up. He does say he would come back after he decides to separate from Hee-joo, not as a means to end their relationship, but to embark on a journey of self-healing. He expresses his intention to return to her once he has addressed his personal issues and become a better partner. I think what i got out of it that it shows his choice for personal growth which is is essential for a healthy relationship
