That’s a really unfair generalization. Not all Muslims ignore these issues infact many openly speak out against…
The Qur’an consistently emphasizes justice, peace, and forgiveness over violence.
Here are just a few examples:
“If they incline to peace, then incline to it also.” (Qur’an 8:61)
“Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.” (Qur’an 2:190)
“Whoever kills a soul—unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land—it is as if he had slain mankind entirely.” (Qur’an 5:32)

Violence is only permitted to stop aggression, never to initiate it.

As for this: Fight those who do not believe in Allah...
Again, selective quoting. The full verse actually refers to hypocrites who secretly allied with enemies during wartime and betrayed Muslims.
“They wish that you disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take them as allies unless they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them...” (4:89)
Contextually, this was about treason during war, not disbelief.
It’s equivalent to laws against treason and espionage in every modern nation.

Again do NOT take out the layers of context to these verses and quote them acting like you know what you're doing

wow everything you said is a classic example of selective quoting and misinterpretation of quran verses!
This verse you mentioned comes from Surah At-Tawbah, revealed after years of treaties being violated by the Quraysh (pagan tribes) who repeatedly attacked Muslims despite peace agreements. The verse does not call for random violence, it refers specifically to those who broke the peace treaty and initiated war.
The full verse and the next explain this clearly:
“But if they repent, establish prayer and give zakah, then let them go their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” (Qur’an 9:5)
if you are quoting quran verses and purposely removing context to make it look bad, this is insane.
And as for the other verse you mentioned, the verse talks about combat during wartime, not peacetime aggression.
It’s not a call to kill non-Muslims, it’s a directive within the context of self-defense after treachery and war, which was a norm for survival in 7th-century Arabia.
Even Qur’an 9:6, the very next verse, explicitly commands mercy:
“And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the word of Allah. Then escort him to where he will be secure.”
I hope this is clear now

this is just beyond ridiculous, there is no part of islam that preaches "hostility" or "violence" you can crticize Muslims because they are humans and bound to make mistakes but the religion islam itself is perfect in every way. just because you don't agree with these views doesn't mean you can hate on a religion and just say whatever you want without verifying it. also when you said the power to stop those actions lies within the same community" not every country is democratic and lacks corruption, you should know that by now.
How do you justify "religion" *allowing* people to not believe in God? does that make sense to you? religion is all about worshipping and believing in God and you're just asking religions to change their rules to give "freedom" to people? if you're an atheist so be it, if you're a Christian so be it, and for every other religion but, hating on other religions, spreading falsehood without being educated on the topic and blaming the acts of humans on the religion is not right. I don't know if I got my message across but I hope I did. Just want to say that islam is completely based on peace and patience. we are not "told" to harm disbelievers but are told to live peacefully among them. if you see anyone saying or acting otherwise they are not true believers. please just understand this

this perception is present for every religion I believe and just because one woman who is Muslim and is wrong in a certain situation doesn't mean that every Muslim is. What you are doing is generalising their actions. And the situation of this drama is completely unrelated to this video. this video doesn't prove that the Muslims don't have a right to be angry at the representations of important figures in their religion to be presented in this way with no respect.

Muslims crying Islamophobia; mind you these are the same people who have nothing to say when their governments…
That’s a really unfair generalization. Not all Muslims ignore these issues infact many openly speak out against injustice, no matter who it’s against. And also criticizing entire faiths for what governments do is like blaming citizens for their rulers, it doesn't really add up

why do we have to boycott genie? is there something controversial about this scriptwriter?
that's ridiculous, I'm Muslim too and I've just heard of this! The lack of research just shoes by that. Writers really need to be more sensitive in these matters but they simply choose to ignore everything

The only thing that I have a problem with this is the fact that they lived as siblings for a while and she goes in search for her "brother" while still knowing they weren't related T-T I just hope the sibling part is dealt delicately and properly so that I won't have to think about it constantly while watching it! Aside all of this, I'm really looking forward to this!!

are you insane? do you not know how many lives he's destroyed? And how he groomed Kim Sae Ron?
He has money for God sake, he can do ANYTHING in the corrupt world of SK. And for God sake, the Korean legal system is SH*T and lacking as hell. Also, this comment section is dedicated to any sort of *discussion* related to the drama or the actors in it and I am merely doing so. And just so you know these comment sections are considered a gossip column where they *gossip* about the actors, the dramas, and the relationships between the actors.

I do understand why this messages should be not placed under dramas where not only kim soo hyun but other actors contributed but as you can see his supporters never cease to exist even when he's done such drastic crimes and is undeniably a horrible person. I'm only commenting about this topic here, merely to educate another. And lastly, I would never dare respect him after what all he did so I don't know why ethics matter in this case when he didn't care to have any.

I put off this drama for a really really long time because of the news of the divorce and I finally got around watching it! I'm in episode 8 rn and man I really didn't have to worry about anything because the actors are such great actors that I'm easily able differentiate between their characters and the actors. I thought it would be hard to root for them but NO, it's still amazing! Lots of love <3

just finished watching the last episode and omg this might just be one of the best endings for a drama???? not the typical going somewhere, giving flowers and proposing (not that there is anything wrong with it) but this type of proposal is very generic yk?? but MAN Sang Yan's proposal to Wen Yifan was one of the best ever T-T. It's so meaningful and thought out I just UGH I LOVED ITT
