There's foreshadowing elements used again by the drama in the last episodes yesterday. The drama drops hints here and there. 😭 Once all the episodes are out, advise you to rewatch it so you'll know all the foreshadowing scenes that the drama puts. I know the game's plot so the episodes yesterday hits me so different. Like I picture some other lines and framing they say in previous episodes in the future episodes.
#EstherYu from saying “again, again” and “i don't want to use a stunt double” until she finally got the take on #GradeOneGraduation, to stunt training for #SwordAndFairy 🗡🌪
Yang Zhiying: Because "SAF6" has too many game fans, in order to live up to the fans' expectations for Yue Qi, every time I go to visit her (Yu Shuxin), I can see her putting that small screen on the makeup cart- Just watch Yue Qi in the game, imitate some of her action logic, and even imitate some of her small movements and some of her speaking tone. "
esther's effort to take notes on every yueqi's scenes from the game 👏

Sword & Fairy 6’s impressive narrative and memorable cast should make it easy for me to recommend, yet the game’s many technical issues make it a hard sell. "
About storyline: "The narrative and cast of characters prove to be Sword & Fairy 6’s strongest asset. As the conflict unravels, it becomes clear that the story is not so much about good versus evil but a story of factions working towards their own goals and ambitions. This is supported by excellent use of the characters, with none of the major players in the story quite being what they seem at first glance. This extends to the antagonists, who are revealed to be just as complex and multifaceted as the game’s six party members. The game deftly explores what it means to fight against pre-determined fate, exercise free will, as well as the lengths friends and foes go to protect those loved ones. "
Below the link to a rant about this drama from one of the Cdrama bloggers, I do agree with a lot of the arguments,…
I don't know. I respect his opinion but some of his rants doesn't connect like he/she is expecting to spoon fed the stories. I disagree in some parts for I know the game plot and it feels we watch the same drama. So there are a lot of here and there cuts that the audience will understand later. It's not that it's not coherent, but it's intentional not to reveal all the plots. The secrets behind the plot isn't even reach 20%. They put earlier episodes for later episodes. I think the reviewer is used to traditional way for storytelling where they already know who is the enemy or the conflict. Like the traditional drama already give the main leads main mission wherein this drama, this is not the case. The plot is within the characters, their interwoven and conflicting interest. Because all the characters are not they seem to be. There's no pure good vs. just like most of Xianxia dramas today. To take note, this is 36 episodes, where not even halfway. There are still a lot of characters' past, agreements, secrets, and inner conflict that haven't tackled yet in the drama that was shown in the game.
It's an emotional plot. It may look as cute silly ancient puppet at earlier episodes but just because to hook the audience. There are needed later to deepen the attachment for the later episodes. Not to mention, this is plot that have to do time and space loop. If they don't set up the earlier episodes, many will be confused later on.
If you the read the reviewers of the players who play the game, the story is well established and compact.
I could be wrong but I get the feeling that CP6 was one of the best plots in CP but the game was a flop due to…
Yes, this is one of the reasons. If you can read the reviews of most gamers, the storyline of the game is great but the technical issues overshadowed it. But still playable. It's on steams website.
"Some people can't see the foreshadowing, so they can only understand the emotional line.""Wow, it turns out that…
There's really a lot of foreshadowing, for example even people who said who will die. There's a framing in camera angle you will understand if you know the game's plot.
