This means Mudeok's affection to him is more important now than his goals. So when he was hurt, he simply gives up.

He already achieved his personal agenda - enter Songrim to be a mage and proven he is Jang Kang's worthy son. With Medeok now denied his love, he has no more motivation and goals to develop further.

I am getting upset with Mudeok cruelty, even though I know it is her nature to deny it because of her vulnerability and assassin background.

I agree with CCW of FNOST. While watching AOS in the beginning, for a split second I felt CCW can be the older vision of Jung Uk. :)

Base on episode 9, I felt he'll going to change his approach after acknowledged his law-abiding nature. I felt he'll pursue Mudeok openly.

Well said. Not forgetting Nuksu /Mudeok was trained as a cold hearted assassin from young and living in the mountain. She's not experienced nor expressive in the department of LOVE .
