Sorry if im butting in but i agree with you. Im not a fan of the romance genre either and was quite interested in this for its other genres but as you said its kind of hijacked by the romance. Not saying anyone else cant enjoy it, it just isn't to our interests. Everyone is allowed their own opinions. And there is nothing wrong with not liking romance genres. :)

Its the two younger guys. If you want you can watch 2018 Ossan's Love as that is the beginning of the story and essentially the first season in my books. After watching that it should explain all for you. And im pretty sure this is about their lives after the events of that so you can catch up before this starts.

Oh i can relate. I just powered through it, not to say i paid attention... Ive forgot most of the first episode now. Also if its about the comedic stuff. Im pretty sure most of that goes away after the first episode. Still tad bit weird.

Something really good about this series besides well everything is the teasers for the next episodes. I dont know if anyone noticed but next episode teasers never show the best bits from the next episode like the episode we got the "Goodnight Kiss" it wasn't spoiled the week before and many more of the scenes between Phaya and Tharn. Sure not all of them but in my opinion the best moments between the two when i think their feelings for each other grows more. My point is whenever you see the teaser you can expect an amazing scene but it will be a nice surprise instead of a painstaking week wait knowing whats going to be the best scene of the episode. Okey its still a long painstaking wait knowing its going to be amazing but you get a nice surprise when it comes which lets be honest most people dont like spoilers and although thats not what teasers are being shown the best part of the next episode all the time makes it less enjoyable to me anyway. Everyone can have their own opinion.

Oh my, Thank you! I wasnt expecting so many recommendations from everyone. I know I've heard of Strangers before not quite sure why I didn't watch, best guess would be maybe I thought it had romance. Thank you for letting me know otherwise. Now I can enjoy it as I am a fan of thrillers. I've got so much to watch now. :)

Oh my thank you so much! Added to my watch list. I think I've heard of that drama once before but was skeptical about there being romance. Thanks for telling me about it again. Also don't worry its not really a spoiler in my books as it doesn't spoil the story.

Yeah I don't blame you. I dropped it the first time and then watched more of it for those two and now I'm trying to get myself to continue it but with how long it is it's going to take a while before I manage to get myself to finish the whole thing.

I felt exactly the same way. Personally I was barely able to watch the first episode at the beginning because i jsut really didnt like it. The humour just wasnt hitting any marks with me. Then I dropped it entirely, but then i saw about Wang Ye and Zhuge Qing and it made me want to watch it all so i can understand the story surrounding those two.

Yeah I feel alot of people steer away from watching it because of the past and future stories being told simultaneously in episodes and also for me the possibility of romance being too much. That's what made me a bit weary of it to begin with. So glad I gave it a chance. Would've missed on a really good drama in my opinion.

Even if this drama is a romantic one I'm still willing to watch it as im interested by the story. And who knows maybe one day we'll get another friendship. In the meantime I'll keep on searching.

Yeah sorry should of worded it better. I have actually seen "The Memorist" quite good. I just meant you dont see many or they are really hard to find. Atleast they are for me, but yeah maybe you're right and i need to search harder.

Okey i dont want to be rude and i know we all have our own opinions but why dont we ever see a drama with a male and female lead that are just really good friends. Its just every single drama ive seen atleast with a male and female lead theres always been romance, whether thats full romance or just hinted alot or even slightly. I just dont understand why you cant have a man and a woman care alot about each other and wanting each other to stay alive without it being romantic. Sorry if im the only one who thinks like this. Im just curious is all.

Please Don't spoil it for everyone. You should put your comment under the spoiler. And it's not like I'm saying watch it all but atleast try the first couple episodes and if you don't like it well then our opinions differ but they could end up loving it from the first couple episodes then end up finishing it all. Telling people not to watch something because you don't like it may make them miss out on something they could of loved like I did. If I didnt watch it while it was airing it. I wouldn't of watched it after seeing these comments and I would of missed a series I loved. You can hate it or love it but don't force your opinions on others let them have a chance to judge it themselves.

Thats great! Well i hope you enjoy it all over again. I may start a rewatch too. Im just going to take a bit to finish bawling my eyes out before i start all over again. Just got to keep smiling like Ice Cube.🥲

To anyone thinking of watching this drama. Please do. You may hate it like some people in the comments but you also may like it alot like others. And if you never watch it you could miss out on a drama you would of loved. If you do watch it and dont like it well atleast you tried and have no regrets for not watching an amazing drama you could of loved. And now you can move on to other dramas. Please just whatever you do dont just ignore it because of a few people. Everyone has different opinions and yours may differ from theirs. Just give it a chance. ❤️
