the original novel is focused on mother and daughter relationship, the ml only shows up in the later part, but the drama adaptation has definitely added more scenes for the ml

bjt's 'Always on the move' aired on cctv and the cast still recorded an ep of hi6 so it is possible for this drama to have one too, especially since yz is close with the program
I think its because the chinese title of the drama 承欢记 'story of chenghuan' sounds like what a big heroine historical drama would be named, yang zi mentioned it in a livestream that even her friends thought she was filming a historical drama because of the name

tbh IS and LYF seasons are technically just one drama - they had to be split due to regulations. Historical dramas from now on will probably all be less than 40 eps as a result

I'd love to see yz take this sort of action, strong heroine role like in Doomsday Wonderland, but it'll be very hard to shoot, the cgi has to be amazing and there must be changes to the script or else it won't be able to pass censorship/trial
