so many theories - no one can guess what the plot will unfold like

in ep12, the newspapers stuck on lan yifei's dad's apartment walls were about a woman's car accident in which the driver who didn't have a license escaped - theory is that the woman is yifei and her dad is seeking revenge

jiang yi doesn't seem to want hyz to find yifei's dad

and the bucket list that hyz found in ding ye's coat pocket is interesting...

reading these theories make it seem like a suspense youth drama lol

I'm watching it without subs, those eps might be available on YouTube but not sure if the eng subs are ready yet

in the novel, yifei is alive but the drama adaptation has changed a huge amount from the novel so we'll just have to continue watching to find out

yeah maybe - I've seen people saying it might be Jiang Yi replying, and Yingzi has some sort of PTSD so she still wants to believe yifei is alive

it was filmed last year - I think it wrapped up around April

in EP8, mingyu said "after the incident of Yifei, I didn't know how to face everyone, let alone Huang Yingzi" - so something must have happened and mingyu probably thinks its her fault

I must say fan chengcheng's acting surprised me - I haven't watched any of his dramas or movies before and only knew him bc of his sister and Idol Producer but his acting is really quite good

love the whole plot, its so interesting with many questions that need to be answered:
- is LYF alive or not?
- what did Yingzi do that she needs Jiang Yi's forgiveness for?
- why is Yingzi and Mingyu so awkward? (HYZ knows FMY likes JY but surely something must've happened to cause this awkwardness after all these years)
- what's special about the globe that JY gifted to HYZ ? (possibly a confession note inside?)

could be due to copyright issues with the main production company Yulele

its definitely his own voice, fcc can speak a bit of English - they all used their own voices

its very hard to get high heat index on Youku after they changed the way they calculated heat index at the end of last year, so proud of them 🎉

could just be yingzi wishing yifei was with them , so ig we'll have to watch the later episodes to see if yifei really is abroad or not

ep5 seems to support this theory - at guan chao's wedding, yifei is sat around the table with them (but she is supposed to be 'abroad') and yingzi seems to be the only one who sees her i.e., yifei is probably just yingzi's imagination

people are saying in the car, yingzi is dreaming about having the convo with yifei, also in their QQ chat room yifei isn't there, yingzi's reaction to guan chao's fiancé bc she looks like yifei and guan chao is looking after yifei's grandma all these years - so people are guessing the 'incident' that happened which caused them to separate was yifei's death

it's all just speculation atp and in the novel yifei is alive

they used an old, nostalgic style filter for the throwback sections to their teenage years, which some people might not like but I think they've done a good job of linking the two story lines
