They truly tried to create a flawless character of Ren An Le / Di Zi Yuan. Most irritating part is to create a flawless character out of of Ren An Le / Di Zi Yuan, they create down to earth Flawed character of Crown Prince Han Ye (up to haven could be ok).

It not Gong Jun s fault, he did his bast for character way it is.

I saw a lot of Good and Bad drama. It is first time to see an Annoying drama. Annoying in highest level. How much badly writen a drama can be, they had cast like Dilraba Dilmurat Gong Jun. I actually came see the drama because of cast.
Then stop at EP 20, came back when war began, thinking that revenge plot is over story will came to a shape. But no, they writen deffirnt type Annoying plot.
Last few EP is all about how Legendary how Strong character Ren An Le / Di Zi Yuan is. For that An Ning has to die, whatever mistake Luo Ming Xi did, its more or lass ok, so Ren An Le / Di Zi Yuan can go SOLO RAMPAGE mode.

what CSS needed is her parents love, but giving it to her is meant accept that she can do whatever she want and her parent will protect her.

yes the empress can do that she can take that time, but CSS's mother can not take coz she and CSS family has to leave with consonance of CSS conduct, but the empress NOT SO MOUCH. it easy to become mother figure/father figure or listen to other, but listen to ur owe mother or father or brother or sister is not. dont forget in first 3 Ep CSS treated her parent like they some idiot.
what CSS needed is her parents love, but giving it to her is meant accept that she can do whatever she want and her parent will protect her.
i dont know the book. but i am looking forward Part 2 how they pull it off.

truth is Ep 24 is badly written, they just give us a drama

she is 15 is not. the love is what she need, but after coming back a mother saw her daughter using her parent in a weird way for justice, and mocking her father, what she will do, when her daughter urgently need to be fixed her. that's the beginning of this mother and daughter relation.
u must saw how CSS mother take her side at Lou Yao family scenes, what ever she say to her in privet, even there CSS act like she know more then her mother, but it came to light she know nothing about Lou Yao family.
that action CSS parent can't do in front Emperor, only thing they can do to reject the mirage is humiliated her. or they have to say LBY is not good for her
they abounded her is not that they have any choose.

what there is time travel in the book.

it is not even 50/50 chance. the way she is now Gen. Ling gets a full time job to protecting her. he can forget about his revenge

The things they said would have been a social death sentence for her and an albatross around the family name as they have no real power other than that granted by the king. So LBY and NN saved that whole family because the emperor was about to emperorize them all. Yes, emperorize is not a word, but it fit the narrative. I will give you that what they did was in their belief that NN did not want the marriage and because they knew how much trouble, stress and danger they thought she would be in, but the way they went about it was wrong. They were walking off the edge of a cliff and if NN and LBY had not pressed on, they would have been ruined.

As for the comments of reproach against LBY for “forcing” NN to marry him. You see the woman you love mocked, scorned, abused, and with no protection not even by her own family, what would you do? Again and again, LBY has saved NN, shown her respect, and risked life, limb, and reputation to care for her. He is the emperor’s favorite. He is a feared general. He has power and honestly, with his name behind her, who will dare to come after her and not feel his wrath. Yao was weak as water and her reputation was already in tatters even before she broke the engagement with Yao. NN already had very little choice in marriage and at least he offered her something no one else did, continued care.

this area is problematic, only a power hungry parent will joy fully marry there daughter to person like LBY. think about it just for marring LBY, how much danger NN family will in. don't forget that happen to LBY mother family. how they reject that. when Emperor ask if they not think LBY worthy for NN, what ans they will give
i seen this kind situation in realty. when a upper-meddle class family came to marry low meddle class family. i don't know why parent always made there child look little.

She is 15 for heaven's sake. in that age she developed 'cunning in the way she arranged' by use her parent in that way like they are some idiot.
do u want her to use her parent the way she did in early Eps again and again, her mother put an end to it, maybe little extreme, and we did not like it coz CSS in main character.
we might like it if she isn't a main character
i don't know what in book. She is smart and capable. but CSS is a very flawed character in a bad way
