The story and writing is pure cow dung. Having said that, the vacation house is gorgeous and Go Min Si is absolutely stunning and her acting is top-notch. I still wouldn't recommend this though, the writers is out to tilt the viewers with absolutely ridiculous decision making and a police force that is as realistic as the cast of looney toons.
I'm new to Chinese dating shows (or Chinese reality shows in general) and I'm really enjoying this but I'm noticing…
You have to realize these kind of reality shows while not scripted to a certain extent, the PDs still maintain a lot of control on giving directions to the guests.
1. Most of the main scenes (e.g meal times, or when everyone gathers) are considered their main "work" because at the end of the day they are creating content for a show, so they will be as respectful as possible or might not even be allowed to use their phone. They probably use phone during alone or off-peak times and those scenes are rarely shown.
2. The camera rolling 24/7 or being cut-off differs from show to show really. It's either nothing really interesting happens or it's already stipulated by the PDs that night time is rest time.
3. Again, show by show basis. I watch a ton of others have interview on what they are feeling.
The show like all stranger,or they know each other?
4 pairs of 1 guy and 1 girl friend goes into the house to live with each other and explore the possibility of either if their friend could evolve into a romantic option or if they could explore dating the strangers there.
So you have like some friends being really platonic and helping each other chase the person they want or some friends realizing actually their friends are the best after all for romance.
I'm conflicted by the ending and the last episode in general. I feel like the writer could have gone a completely…
It's challenging because the writers have a constraint. China censorship means the ending doesn't allow for crime to be unpunished or anyone escaping the law. So the writer is kind of pigeon holed into this ending and has to write a coherent plot towards it, severely limiting his creative liberty.
I’m finding the character of the mother in law, so invasive and over the top toxic, that’s really curtailing…
Then just focus on #timeline 2 then. Unfortunately the overbearing chinese mother-in-law is a reality, albiet over dramatized in the series. But her heart's coming from a good place.
HER LIFE IS FILLED W/ ANGST/REGRETS INVENTED OUT OF HER 'MAKINGS', LIKE WHAT IF/ANOTHER ME IN 2 DIFFERENT TIMELINES…
Both decisions and timeline led her to pursue a different kind of happiness. It shows in life there's no one correct path, you gotta live on and make the best out of it. If you can't get that then probably you've never had to make any meaningful decisions in your life.
Yeah we can't judge it........in ep 8 she kissed deeply a guy.....then ep 11 she kissed another guy and in relationship…
The whole premise of the drama is 2 parallel timelines of if she stayed with the first ML in a small town or pursued a career and met second ML in the second timeline. The two timeline is shown concurrently in each episode. It's a 10/10 drama and the female lead is great. You watched a few short clips and gave a ridiculous comment. #facepalm
- hou ge and yang ruqing are still together- zeng ge and haoyin are still together- fan yilan and william broke…
I totally agree with you, Hou Ge would 100% have been a better choice for Hou Siyi. His maturity and kindess will be the one that anchors down a relationship in the real world.
As per his viewpoint earlier, "When a problem arises in a couple, they should learn to tackle the problem at hand and solve it, rather than think if they should change their partners. Repair the relationship, not change the relationship"
Xiao Sun's immaturity was pretty evident in the first few dating groups already, especially with the big twin and zeng ge, "man it's damn unfair they don't let us choose partners." absolute 0 EQ to the people around them. His immaturity combined with Hou Siyi's carefree attitude, it's obvious their r/s won't last in a million years.
Good film, 8.5/10. Han Geng being a Han Geng Phillip Keung with god-tier comic relief The child actor who played blithe demonstrating god-tier talent for acting.
Alright been binge watching this season since Wednesday. I hurt so much for Qiqi, really like her the best and…
Jasper literally did nothing wrong - feelings can't be forced, just because he didn't like QiQi back doesn't mean he's a bad guy. He's quite mindful of her feelings, even when his love-script date got forcefully changed he didn't reveal it on the date itself and tried to give QiQi a good experience.
Good riddance too, for this has so much promise.

Really interesting concept.
