Surely they can. But from the spoilers that I have read, seems like the ending moving towards YY can live happily with YD in the mortal world after his resurrection since he will sacrifice himself at the final battle. But I'm not sure if he still has the position in the Heavenly Realm.

The rule of cannot fall in love was set because of Xuan Ye betrayed Ranqing isn't it? So if YY and YD love each other can they just stay in the Heavenly Realm for the ending bc they're not bad person although YY from Asura clan. The Supreme Emperor is a bad person so if the Supreme Emperor die who will take over the Heavenly Realm? I think if YY want to let go of his responsibility completely and stay with YD in the mortal world, i might have this unsatisfy feeling for the ending. I wish even though he decides to live in the Mortal World, he will still become the Emperor, and he can just go back and forth between Heaven and Mortal. All clips from the trailers seems like want to show YY just want to be TZ and I hope that is not the case at the end. I'm really curious with how they will end it for YY to choose between responsibility and love 🤧
Just watch all 5 episodes of Part2. Loved how all 3 got character developments from unmatured bickerings 😆 to misery and understood each other. TZ escape from the Sect and want live for himself, YD understood and able to differentiate TZ /YY responsibility and YM, he's one the best 2nd male lead. I thought YM will definitely hate TZ when he knew he is YY but he not. When YD look at TZ and said "I forgive you, YY". My heart 🤧.

This maybe contain spoiler but novel and drama is different so I dont know. If you watch trailer TangZhou said he has been dreaming about a girl. In the novel, when TangZhou has dream, he heard some kind of voice told him if he want to know the truth then he should find the four artifacts belong to the gods: seven lights divine jade, chumo, lichen and dizhi. This Dizhi belong to YY but he lost it during battle with the snake?? dragon?? So only after finding these artifacts, he will know the truth.
