GSJ stole the tablet back from GSQ. His family's safety will always be his priority than his happiness compared to GZY.

GSJ's parents and brother were both killed by Wufeng too. He found a purpose to live in GYZ. He also won respect from his uncle/ SW. So, he was more mentally stable compared to GHY.

One wanted to use the Infinite Heat to destroy Wufeng and the other using other methods to dismantle Wufeng like GZY.

I can see the reason why GSJ refused to use the IH to destroy Wufeng because the Gong family would end up with a bad reputation.
