Agree! I gave a 10-rating for every episode. I was surprised to find the flow of the story is amazingly brilliant.

It's got to be at least 9. The story is very light but the direction and acting are brilliant.

The drama doesn't follow the novel 100% which would have been better especially the built up of LY-MZH romance.

FSF is a versatile actor. When he was in The Imperial Age, he was ruthless as Yong Le like Liu Yan in this drama.

In the novel, Liu Yan is described to be ruthless and deadly to his enemies.

I adored him in Ming Lan. This is what a good man should be towards his woman.

Shining For You- I like him in that drama but the FL had no chemistry with him at all. So, I dropped that drama.

My first impression of JT was not another boring actress whom I have always dropped her dramas in the past.

But, in this drama, she has consistently been the one as well as FSF, making this drama entertaining. JS is very natural in her acting.

FSF has recently been given good scripts like The Imperial Age, The Story of Ming Lan and The Legend of Zhuohua.

I like him in the Ming Lan because he was like a rascal and did what he wanted. I like the way he teased Ming Lan by saying that he would want to marry her which made her so angry and started scolding him while he walked away laughing.

Northern Liang State is a foreign state so the women don't look like Han Chinese. They should look more exotic like Dilraba and other non-Han Chinese actresses.
