An awesome Xian Xia drama
I love this Xianxia genre drama although I am not really a fan of Xianxia.Liu Xueyi and Tiffany Tang's pairing is proven to be a success in my opinion which led me to continue watching this drama.
Although the rating on MDL is rather low, I find it deserves more than 8.5. I'd give a 9-rating because it is better than some other recent XianXia dramas.
Liu as the Demon Lord? His females will scream with delight when they see him acting the baddie role. He is probably the most handsome Demon Lord in the Xian Xia dramas.
Watch this drama if you wish to enjoy a good Xian Xia drama. I certainly did njoy the drama. I can't wait for Liu Xueyi's next C-costume drama, Against the Current.

10-rating won't do any justice to this masterpiece
The Story of Ming Lan is an exquisite C-costume drama.It doesn't suffer from actors who overact their roles and viewers won't find annoying cutie acts from the female leads. It's a drama for viewers who appreciate a good drama after a day's work.
The story evolves around the protaganist, Ming Lan, who lost her mother and unborn sibling due to the mechanism of her father's favourite concubine, Little Madam Ling. She was eventually raised by her official grandmother who had no blood relationship with her family apart from the old lady's position as the official mother of ML's father.
As the story progresses, it shows ML experiences her first romance with Qi Heng, her first revenge against Madam Ling and her eventual marriage to Gu Ting Yue.
The drama is well paced and the script is well written. Scenes for plots are well shot and acted by the cast.
The chemistry between the FL and ML is excellent which makes this drama entertaining. Viewers see the first meeting of ML and GTY where the latter lost the shooting arrow game to ML when both were aged 8 and 12. The development of their romance touches the heart of the viewers.
Overall, this drama is a classic master piece.

This drama is not for everyone's taste because it requires a great patience from its viewers.However, the story is good for entertaining its viewers.
The story began from the moment the daughter of the Royal Physician was chosen to be the Crown Princess to the current Crown Prince Lee Gun.
However, the Crown Prince was destined to die if he was married to the girl. Watch the drama to find out the fate of the Crown Prince.
This story is related to another drama, Bossam: Steal the Fate (2021).

If you enjoy a good banter between two leads, watch this drama!
I enjoy the banter between Xiao Zhou and Man Li, the two main leads.A good chemistry between these two characters that portrays a platonic relationship between an older woman and a younger man.
This story tells the journey of a naive insurance salesman and his eventual success in his career thanks to his collaboration with an experienced insurance saleswoman. And a journey of a divorcee who works hard to provide food and shelter for her son and father following her divorce.
The drama begins with Man Li being abandoned by her husband and losing her job at the same time. Xiao Zhou happened to be the person who investigated Man Li which caused her losing her licence to sell insurance. They eventually collaborated to make money due to financial hardship and became best friends.
One day, Xiao Zhou begins to develop romantic feelings for Man Li. Will Man Li accept Xiao Zhou?
The viewers will have to make the conclusion.
Sun Li as Hu Man Li is awesome. She is a perfect actress to portray a strong female character in C-dramas. The actor playing Xue Xiao Zhou is an equal match to Sun Li. Both make this drama a good drama to watch.

A sleeper hit
I had never expected a short tv drama could produce such a good drama.I have always been sceptical about short tv dramas but this drama really exceeded my expectation.
The story is similar to most of the xianxia series but the actors in this series especially the female lead have done a really good job.

What a great office drama
I love this drama because it tells viewers no matter how hard work environment can be, we will succeed in our ambition as long as we are willing to give ourselves a chance.This drama is about the struggle of four young people who embarked their first training programme as an invesment analyst for a venture capital firm in Shanghai.
Working in a fast pace environment can be challenging but their friendship helped them pull through the most difficult times in their professional career.

A low budget comedy but the entertainment value is way above my expectation! Awesome.
A light hearted and low budget drama but the acting is above my expectation.This drama is about a young man who turns back the clock to save his mother from marrying his father who is good for nothing and making sure that his mother marries his mentor who is more like a father to him.
It's a bittersweet drama with hilarious plots that are well executed.
The actor who plays the son acts his role perfectly. The actress who plays the mother - she's brilliant. These two actors really keep the drama alive.
I love this drama.
Watch it and judge it yourself.

Zanilla Zhao's acting in this drama is outstanding!
It's a perfect 10.This is one of the best C-costume dramas I've watched.
The main actress, Zanilla Zhao, is the best actor in this drama. She outshines all her co-stars and deserves an award for her performance.
The story is about a girl who falls in love with her master. Their relationship as master and disciple is tested when she turns evil. This part of the drama propels Zhao to be one of the best actresses in C-dramas.
I won't say much about this drama as reviews by others speak the volume.
Watch this drama when you need a drama to entertain you.

Korean version of the Umbrella Academy but BETTER!
This drama is for those who enjoy something different from the usual romantic and chaebol based stories.The story evolves around a group of children of former NIS agents who were born with superpower. Their abilities were constrained by their parents' desire to protect their children from getting seized by the NIS director.
The drama is divided into three parts: the first focuses on the children; the second part on the lives of their parents; and the third part is about the the children being hunted by the North Korean spies.
I dropped this drama last year but I rewatched on 29 June 2024 after watching a Facebook video about the romance between Kim Doo Shik and Lee My Hun. I love the chmistry between these two actors.
I enjoyed this drama very much which is rare because I dislike scifi dramas. This one stands out.

Funny and entertainting
This drama is a remake of a Taiwanese tv drama with the same title but I prefer this Korean version.The story is simple ie. the FL and the ML were both drunk and slept together. A few months later, the girl found out she was pregnant and the ML decided to marry her because he wanted the baby after hearing the heartbeat of the foetus.
The drama is entertaining and is for those who enjoy light comedy dramas.

A good romcom but 8 episodes should have been enough
A good romcom. The story is pretty much standard for most of the romcoms.Two people, Shin Ha Ri and Kang Tae Moo went on a blind date to please their families. But Shin Ha Ri helped her best friend instead. But, her date had decided to marry her.
The story begins from the moment they met.
Watch it for a good laugh.

An eerie relationship between a detective and his murder suspect
A dark romance between a detective and his murder suspect certainly captivates its audience. Me.The story is about a detective helplessly falling in love with a murder suspect who was the main suspect of her husband's murder. As the movie takes us through the journey of the detective's romantic and emotional roller coaster, the woman was cleared of the murder simply because she had an alibi.
However, the detective discovered another piece of evidence that proved otherwise.
What did he do?
The story began from the moment he decided to deal with the evidence.
The last scene on the beach is cruelly heartbreaking.

Same old plot! So. don't expect it to be as good as My Uncanny Destiny
Honestly, the storyplot is pretty standard but the FL's cutie acts make me frustrated throughout the series.The story is pretty standard: a warrior prince has an arranged marriage with his enemy's illegitimate daughter and falls in love with her. He has to fight the court politics as the emperor and the Dowager Empress think he is a threat to the throne.
Not much I can say about this drama except the directing is poor and the dragging effect takes its toll on my mood to watch this drama patiently.
I skipped most of the time while watching it.
I would recommend other C-dramas with little known actors who did better than the two leads in this drama: My Uncanny Destiny.

A sleeper hit! Female Lead is a badass!
I love this series. I thought it was going to be boring but I was surprised by the acting and the storyline.The script was well written and the flow of the drama is surprisingly smooth. No silly or cutie acts from the female casts.
The story is about A Mai who searched for her adoptive brother/ fiance, Chen Qi, so that she could find out from him why he killed her parents and let her live. During this journey, she encountered the love of her life, Shang Yi Zhi and her battleground enemy, from the Beimo State, General Chang Yu Qing.
She joined the army after she had found out CQ had become the Marshall of the Beimo State so that she could kill him in the battle. She won admiration from her brothers in the army. She also helped SYZ to become an emperor.
This story is about a female's fearless determination to defend her country even though she had to sacrifice her love and her life.
An entertaining drama to watch. I don't know why some netizens prefer to see silly romantic dramas. This is the one for audience who enjoy good C-dramas.
Acting wise: Zhang Tian Ai as A Mai was a good choice. She was able to deliver the emotions that A Mai encountered throughout her search for Chen Qi and her romance and disappointment in Shang Yi Zhi.
Zhang Hao Wei as Shang Yi Zhi? Many commentators find this actor lack of experience playing the role but I personally think he was a good choice. I love SYZ's response to his ministers in Episode 34 where they threatened to boycott his court. He executed the ministers without hesitation to install fear in his court. A good emperor knows when and how to exert his authority.
Other supporting casts also deserve my praises especially the actress who played SYZ's mother/ aunt and the actor playing Chen Qi. The emotional flashbacks by Chen Qi hit the audience all the time.
I enjoyed this series. Therefore, it deserves a perfect 10.

Victoria Song's Wedding Proposal dance- the best scene in the drama.
Good acting from Joe Chen, but the age gap is quite obvious. If the older brother Wei played Han Mei, the age gap wouldn’t be as noticeable.The pairing between Wei Jun and Chu Yu is perfect — I can see the brother being attracted to Chu Yu.
However, I really like Ding in this series. He’s so cute and adorable in Episodes 1 and 2. The sudden transformation from being playful and cheeky to a serious young man and the head of the Wei family shows how versatile he is as an actor.
The pairing between Victoria Song and Ding is also brilliant, as their age gap isn’t as obvious.
