the last part of the last episode was unnecessary. It was a good watch since leads are good in acting. but story wasn't well thought of. the pacing was a bit weird too.
I love her in costume dramas but i really really enjoyed her role in Six Sisters. so I'd love for her to do another slice of life/family centered kind of dramas...
I know KimJungHyun had past issues but that man can act. Its not necessarily a second lead syndrome but I think it's the acting. I actually don't even care who ends up with who, as long as the writers don't use death to end the story. -.-
I found her annoying in the novel. (but not as annoying as XJS) She's one of the reason why i don't want to reread…
in the novel, the second leads were a necessary part of the story (Xia Jingshi's secret and the princess just being too sheltered). Plus their engagement was kind of how the novel started. It was more of the King that caused a lot of issues - if i remember it correctly. I find the drama very different from than the novel. So I pretty much see the two as 2 different things. I like Feng Sui Ge in the drama more but I prefer the Xia Jinshi from the novel.

Princess didn't make it in the novel. plus in the novel... the SML had a big secret. there was a reason why he kept rejecting Yixao and neglected his "duties" with the princess. I actually find the drama very different from the novel. For instance, there's no amnesia in the novel, Yixao and Xueying were like bffs in the novel...
to people who read the novel, what will happen to the princess? she seems so cute i hope she has a happy ending…

A show that makes you think a bit more. Different from what I usually watch but I like how it's presented to the audience and the visual aspects of the drama, its very blue.
Overall, I really liked it. I like how the FL was portrayed, even the female trainer. I didn't think I would like it based on what happened to her in the beginning of the first episode, good thing I kept watching. The FL is persistent, determined and capable. I liked her mom a lot too. ML wasn't too bad either.
I really did enjoy this drama due to many things. The actors and actresses, the great balance between light and serious scenes, and the little things in the drama that's not too obvious but it make things make sense. I feel like they allowed their cast to pitch in ideas. I did watch this show because of LiYiTong (she's versatile- at least among the actresses right now) But I think this is my favorite LYN drama. Now that this is done, I just hope LiQin's drama gets aired soon. For now, I shall rewatch the drama again and see if there are some details that I may have missed the first time.
i think most of us get that its just that its being dragged out for so long with no progress or signs of changing.…
ahh, I see what your saying. That's interesting. I didn't feel like the story is draggy at all. I quiet enjoy the pacing. Sure, there's many "fillers" but i don't mind it especially funny episodes. If they dragged the misunderstanding with the sister then I would be annoyed... I do feel for the ones frustrated with the character development. I'm just glad I'm just able to enjoy it - for now atleast. I hope they don't wait until episode 35 for her character to finally change.
so many comments regarding the FL. I do suggest reading the "Director's message towards the audience" in the discussion area. Director talks about prejudice. Which totally make sense. The FL has a preconceived idea regarding the ML, blinding how she views him. kind of just like pride and prejudice in a way. Sure she's a flawed character but that makes her relatable.... she's not this perfect person (where everything seems to go her way...)
before starting the show, I actually knew how her voice was, so I was hesitant. But I totally got over her voice and I'm even rewatching it on Netflix. I actually liked this one a lot, the story and all. FL fits her role well. it was actually the second lead that I felt was a bit lacking.
