Yeah but it usually takes until the series has finished airing for the ratings to become more accurate. And regardless, 8.3 is a hella high surge for a BL even if the rating's all wacky

The prologue was phenomenal, which makes me believe that they know what they're doing production wise, at the very least and you can tell that the cast and crew are very passionate about what this project so I have no doubt that whatever they'll release series wise will be fantastic- my only thing is that I hope it *does* actually eventually release. There's too many projects these days that go into a "temporary" yet indefinite delay and are never heard from again. It's scary.

Pilot trailers are released anywhere from months to a year in advance to garner interest in the story and cast from fanbases and sponsors (which a lot of thai dramas rely on). The official trailer is a trailer created from the actually clips that will be in the show (like western trailers). So there tends to be changes to the story or sometimes the cast from between the pilot trailer and official trailers are released. However, usually these changes are fairly small and insignificant.
Not a big fan of New Siwaj but his series at GMMTV always start filming very early though?
My theory is that it's *because* his series aren't as strong as gmmtv's other dramas, that they air at the beginning of the year. I've noticed that with their BLs at least, the weaker shows tend to air earlier in the new year and the more reliable and anticipated releases (like P'Aof's) get released at the end of the year. That's just my personal theory and of course there's always exceptions, MLC was delayed a while hence the early new year release in 2023.
