Idk from how I'd saw it, since episode one where Sailom stands up to Kanghan by holding him accountable, Kang has very strong feelings for him. Of course at that point, it was irritation, hate and the frustration over losing power/control but Kang definitely seemed very obsessed with the scholarship kid. You know that saying about the fact that hate and love aren't always that far apart; because both are founded on extreme passion. In my opinion, the events that happened at the end of ep2 just happened to shift Kang's pov. It encouraged empathy in him and caused him to reevaluate Sailom; leading to more understanding and respect in towards him and to shift Sailom from being just the role he played in his life, to Sailom as an actual individual. Kang's still taking special interest in the guy, the intensity is still there, his pov has just shifted and he's looking at him in a different way. I think that Perth did such a good job at showing that during the tutoring sessions; Kang just watching Sailom with those big curious puppydog eyes! And then he falls for him, falls down bad lmfao.
To me, it's Sailom's pov that definitely seems more rushed since Kang's shown so many more darker shades and terrorized him and his friends. It'd only been like 3 or 4 days since he'd gotten Sailom unofficially pegged as a sex offender pervert. I did like that they showed Sailom being tentative and skeptical but in my opinion it wasn't really enough lol :/
Ngl, this is the series that I'm currently most excited for each week. Which is a total surprise since I was on the "hesitant about PerthChimon's romantic chemistry " train.
But Earth is the only one listed with a main role... so technically if they cast Mix as a ML then this'll be an EarthMix project! However idk if gmmtv was the who owned the rights; who knows, maybe it'll be in their 2024 lineup😂

Eh, I've watched the first two episodes and I definitely liked the pilot episode better. The story itself reminds me of a mash up of the synopsis from Hidden Agenda and Be Mine Superstar. To me, Love in Translation gives off a Korean BL vibes with the humor-sque of American sitcoms such as Superstore. Please keep in mind that I personally don't tend to like KBLs but I by no means mean that as a diss; it's just a remark. And while the sitcom style humor worked for me in shows like Superstore, this one isn't quite hitting the nail on the head. The chemistry between the main couple and side couple are both surprisingly good though! Love in Translation, so far, seems pretty decent and does have good potential if done right but I'm just not sure it's my cup of tea. I'll be giving this drama a couple more episodes before considering dropping it.
