I haven’t started this yet, but is this officially a remake of Gone with the Wind? Or is that just being said…
The writer said they where inspired by it in some parts ( I'd say when it comes to the characters connections) . It's not a remake though or anything so you'll only feel it in the earlier episodes. The story took it's own path by now. Although my memory is vivid but I think the leads here are better people than in gone with the wind. You can see a very clear character development by ep 4. So mostly it's similar in all the good ways :)
Before the show started many people including me thought so. But now I wonder. What stood to me is that he seems to have hidden interest for the crown prince. Like in the episode where they sneaked into the fortress andet the king& his people l noticed JH looking at the crown prince in weird way
i think the kiss part is kind of realistic given that the era and time they lived in, such a thing couldnt happen…
Exactly, I personally was thinking early twenties. Around the 2nd ep when the young girl approached him he was repulsed by knowing her age. There's a fine line between being 15 and 18 so if the earlier creeped him the lateral will do as well.
Considering they mentioned she's in the older range I'm sure she's not a teenager, the show is probably not being that accurate regarding matrimonial age for that era. In Mr sunshine fl didn't marry in her twenties it wasn't a big issue in the show.
Yeon Jun is to blame too for leading her on. He could have rejected her clearly and firmly but it is like he wanted…
He's the kind of guy who'd cheat with his wife's best friend and have an excuse like " i had no choice she seduced me" He's a disgrace to all second ML's
lmao he is such a fool...I cant with him I dont even understand what can both of them see in him they both seem…
Eun Ae knows him well. Maybe she likes pathetic men.
It's GC whose being delusional. Obsessed over an illusion. Him talking to her privately and acting all dramatic leading them both on! 🚩🚩🚩🚩 a woman as smart as she is would realize it by know but she's acting blind
Yeon Jun is so detestable I can't stand him, didn't even reach half the episode my blood pressure went high. Currently I'm team " both fl fall for Jang hyun (-:
What worries me is that since this is split into 2 parts, part 2 might not Do as well in viewership/ratings …if…
I honestly think it's the best decision ever. Why you'd ask, well let's put them in points: - it's clearly a high quality& production cost drama with much care for details and cinematography and all require a great time. - the creator seem to have confidence in the story since they focused on the build up rather than showing their best in the very first two episodes ( mr queen for example had some great first ep which led to the huge fan base meanwhile unarguably my dearest dearest climax was at episode 4) - many dramas where ruined for being rushed ( like one dollar lawyer which had some of the best comedic original early episodes TT) it's only fair for the writer who spend years to write the script to give the production the time it deserves. - with serious tone historical dramas being rare these days many fans of this genre will get to know it sooner or later - lastly & sorry for being so long :) the ratings don't matter that much as the actors are really popular, i noticed that majority of NM dramas get into Netflix after sometime and get really popular, same wise for AEJ who seem to get the popularity she deserves these days. ( there's always a rhythm of people watching previous works of the actor they love on airing dramas)
Would be interesting if this whole gambling company doesn't exist and it's all a plan to scam ml (smt like his friend being part of it and his son isn't sick or anything) I honestly enjoyed the darker moments the most in this episode
I hope he regains his senses. Just remind me of the scene where they meet the king and poor Jang Hyun was looking…
Old habits die hard. GC is more determined that YJ is the Man rather than being sensible about it. At times of adversity she doesn't think of anyone but Jang hyun. But when things calm down she retreats to her old thinking 0_0 If YJ did actually approached her and left her friend she wouldn't like it as she truly care for her ( seeing she saved her life multiple times). Subconsciously she knows he isn't her person or else he would be the man in her dreams
While Jang Hyun was going undercovered at the enemy's camp, suffering hard to get intel, getting himself injured…
I hope he regains his senses. Just remind me of the scene where they meet the king and poor Jang Hyun was looking for a one single sensible being in that room! For someone whose standing behind his principles YJ surely didn't see any wrong forcing JH to accompany them into the fortress.
The saddest part is that Gill Chae doesn't see him for who he really is, a coward useless man who wouldn't bother protecting his loved ones, Eun Ae accepts him for all of this and still loves him which is fine. But our girl shouldn't like a man she's ten times smarter & more powerful than
As interesting as all the characters where written, YJ might break the record for being the only 2ML not causing second male lead epidemic Lol
cannot wait to see more of our power couple, they suit each other so much, both in wit and charms, and looks!…
Exactly! I'm so thankful the creators gave us real actors for these roles. I can't imagine anyone bold enough to do childbirth scene the way Ahn eun jin did! That scene literally gave me anxiety
I'm officially Gil Chae fangirl :) this episode was so intense I'm shivering!! Both leads showed us what they're capable of & they will become a very powerful couple indeed. The fact that this wasn't worst case scenario is terrifying.
I noticed the contrast between our main and second couple. The second lead who are shown to be righteous, well mannered and loved by everyone don't seem to me like somone you'd depend on at a time of war. Especially 2ml he needs some more of the reality check dose.
"To me my lady you're more capable than a bunch of young scholars"
Raise your standards people if GC deserves it we deserve it too 📈📈

So dont worry ^~^
