Okay, here's my review to High School Frenemy episode 8: I'll get through the main drama of today's episode first.…
“The director did say that the original script was supposed to be a Gay Romance between the MLs but due to societal fear he didn't go through with it.”
Omg?? I mean when you think about it, it’s pretty normal that the director from the original drama said about that since Korea was and still so homophobic.
But now after knowing that the original screenwriter did intend that this relationship between the leads indeed had romantic implications i seriously hope Thailand gives us the romance between the leads. Like do what Korea couldn’t do Thailand, this is your chance to do it!
They already seem in love, so develop this relationship more to feel completed. Even the original writer and director would appreciate it since they intended to do it themselves but just couldn’t due to homophobia.
I cried during the talk between Yumeno and his mother. I think all three of their mothers are good mums, it is…
How is she actually a good mom though? She literally said that she shouldn’t have given birth to Kirino as she realized that she was not the perfect son she expected. All I saw in this episode is two good moms and one mom that shouldn’t have become a mom.
On KBS? Maybe around the year 2084… this is going on the government-owned, most conservative mainstream (public)…
I guess you don't know that KBS have already produced two special dramas with gay romance in it:) First one is The Diary of Heong Yeong Dang (2014) and the second one is Behind the Shadows (2023) So we don't really have to wait till 2084 to watch gay dramas made by kbs, since it's already here.
I have no idea what to make of this so far. I feel like I'm supposed to be interested and excited by it - but…
Maybe read webtoon Jeongnyeon first and then you will be addicted to the series I assure you. And if a women centric drama makes you feel nothing that's a problem for you imo.
Ew misogynistic comment:/ As if half the country doesn't have women in it. I'm sure Korean women will support this drama as I'm seeing the hype from Korean tweets;)
