I'm just a casual viewer. But to defend, Uk mourned for 3 years, when he was evn a womanizer b4 naksu appeared as Mudeok. But he eventually got to let his past go when Naksu appeared as Buyeon. He said so himself, that he's not a harsh/bad guy to Buyeon (Naksu)

They only got around 3-4 months for part 2 filming and post production. While nearly around 1 year for part 1. Hence, the lack of production values for part 2.

I knew JSM since Playful kiss, and her experienced acting as Mudeok was a no surprise for me. But her lacking lovers chemistry with LJW surprise me the most, when she evn had chemistry with HMH.

U know rite, if the ice stone is taken out, Uk will be immediately dead, not powerless? As he's only alive bc of it tho

IMO, yes Lady Jin wud have died either way and that's y Kim Doju chose to stay. Otherwise, she wud be guilty for the rest of her life, of leaving Lady Jin to die alone

Kim Doju cudnt leave Lady Jin alone to death. That's y she stayed with her. She's a caring and loving character after all. That's y she has a deep mother and son relationship with Uk when he's not her real son

For me, i cud sense we wud get happy endings when watching. So, I wasn't affected by the 'plot twists' 😅 But, totally love the ending for Uk and Yeong for them becoming a powerful married couple. Just sad that we cudnt see their 'witness' 😭

U said it so yourself, romance. Hence, part 2 is needed for the romance. And it did not disappoint.

Just take note that part 2 pretty much focuses on their love and thankfully strong chemistry as lovers was present

I actually like the pacing of this part 2 of showing the love story between the mains that part 1 cudnt focused on. And i actually think that part 1 cud be cut short to only 18 episodes while part 2 cud be added 2 more episodes to become 12 episodes, in order to make the ending more satisfying. Then this series will still be in 30 episodes

But i saw the difference in his hand skin tone in one of the pics posted by GYJ on her ig. If fair skin tone is his original skin tone, then he shud be that way.
But this doesn't mean i disagree with u on the makeup team to make him wear lighter powder than his current skin tone 🤗

I think the use of additional reflector that LJW gave when filming is one of the reasons that made the glowing effect seen on screen 😄

LJW actually has a fairly fair skin tone but become chocolatey bc of sunburn (u can see this on his hands). And he chose to give up his reflector (which use for skin glow reflector seen on screen) to the fl. Which this is one of the reasons why GYJ has glowing skin on the screen.

In this case, Naksu/Yeong chose not to gain her skills back as she had already given up on them in part 1. Instead, she got divine power from Jin Seolran which can do what a powerful mage like Uk cannot do. So, it's a win-win situation. And these very two persons are even a couple! What more can one wish?!

Part 2 focused on their love more, that wasn't shown much in part 1.
Plus i'm very thankful that the two leads had immense chemistry as lovers than in the 1st part.

Thank god i've prepared mentally ever since the rumour of female lead change was leaked. In fact, actually i cannot wait to see GYJ performance as the original naksu in this 2nd part. And i don't really mind evn if she doesn't have much action scenes, but i wanna see how her chemistry with LJW gonna be. Mudeok was just a disguise for both naksu and buyeon. So, when naksu gets her original 'body' back, she doesn't have to behave as the 'shell' (mudeok) anymore.
And also, have to be prepared as the amnesiac trope might really happen (according to articles released and fans theories). But, don't have to worry as 10 episodes of more than 1 hour each will be more than enough to unfold the plot maybe, at least to me.
