I think everyone who watches something sees something different. I'm only 2 episodes in and I can see the nuances and subtle expressions. I don't think the fault in acting lies with Yu Menglong. That isn't his voice. Who knows if it would have been different if he had been allowed to use his own voice. I can never understand why so many Chinese dramas employ voice actors. Yu Menglong had a perfectly nice voice. Maybe the voice actor was wooden.

I wouldn't trust anything to do with Mango TV, they are owned by Mango Excellent Media who in turn owns EE media which was Yu Menglong's agency. Many actors have mysteriously died under them. It is also run by the CCP.
