they were doing decently when they got the boat. but still not extremely rich as they scrimped and saved to send…
oh then your comment was right! they either saved before the sad death. however what i think makes more sense, is when the 3rd child was mourned. they had a slump and probably werent working as much, but bc the other 2 children had spoken up that may be the time where the parents picked themselves up and started working again and saving a portion. also the dad did say that he would sell a lot of fish again to send her, so thats where it probably came from.
the beginning had so much potential and then it just went downhill. the amount of excuses in the latter half, and so many new plots that dont even make sense anymore or are just like “ok what so shocking about this new plot?”…………. literally irrated me. stayed watching coz the shirtless scenes of sml 👀, otherwise dont bother, its complete waste 😭and is it just me or all of the wealthy characters didnt feel like they were actually wealthy? like idk, it seemed more like that they’re “rich” but not “wealthy” kind
this was really beautifully sad, i barely cry when watching shows (even sad ones) but the bitterness and sweetness in this, really made my eyes tear up. From red flags to funny sections to romance & the subtle sadness coming in each episode, to then exploding at last. this drama really was like kimchi, it just got better each episode, and when the kimchi is unopened for so long, it explodes.
felt too short, as well as incomplete. BUT it was a pretty fun show, this is one of the first’ show that has incorporated an adult theme shop into a series that doesn’t overly leave sexual gimmick and rather left us with coming of age within rated products theme which was almost done perfectly.
the problem with this show is that they never explained the other characters and the main story felt like it had a very slight important skip, as i do not remember them saying that “this happened”. ifykyk…
i watched a few adult themed shows but pretty much all of them had this overly sexualised storyline rather than a strategic half/half theme. so im pretty happy with this show!
8.2 fr this ? wah nd some dramas with undeserving 8.5 nd 9 lol , people never learn ig!
season one was way better than season 2..
the first start of season 2 was pretty good, it made good points (it kept us in tippy toes).. and it had good mix of modern world x 1950’s.
the second half of season 2 was just a mess.. no explanations, no deeper understanding of the “newer” characters, AND NO EXPLANATION OF why they forget their past… no information on how the others got the monster sigma thing. and ultimately thats what made S2 a let down. i was waiting for it to be the final finale. where they finally protect the world or vice versa fail; the world’s end.
overall i think the charm was lost in season 2. the way they did the 1950’s aesthetic is what really brought a lot people’s interest but in modernisation of season 2, brings it back to standardised scifi normal series.
can we talk about how park shin hye is shining here with her acting??? like omg for the first time shes really the character! (dw i loved her since her start but the roles she had before didnt feel enough). she outdone herself with this role! well done park!
bro some of yall write the most nonsensical things just because they didnt marry or the whole family didnt live together.. like.. tf.. stop bringing your culture into it.
Bad and an off putting kinda ending. Could've made a better one.The ending made the whole fiasco seem pointless.Marriage…
huh, you do realise the divorce rate is super high in a lot of countries.. have you been living under a rock.. parents dont need to remarry just because they reconciled.
in a way its admirable that they were able to reconcile and have occasional getups.
this is the realistic situation, ubrealistic wouldve been remarriage, everyone of them living inside the same house.
if youre talking about younger leads, its the same thing, its better to have more time rather than hurry to marry. like ffs they only been together for how long.
I can’t take yall seriously. Keep crying and commenting that you hate it! :)

she said “if you get back with him, i wont appose”
meaning, she wont meddle in their business anymore. its up to them.
you do know some people dont want to marry, its not an issue, thats your issue…
inflation..
