Gonna watch the latest ep tomorrow being Sunday. and I've got my tissues ready to cry.tell Me, is the ep 9 - 12…
Yeapp, no wonder iu said vol3 is the sadder for her. For me every vol is sad but the third one hits different coz it’s something current generation of adults would relate deeply. Relationship with parents, marriage, love. I think this drama really covered the story for each generation of viewers.

Please write me the episodes in which Lee Jun Young and Kim Jae Young appear. I doubt I’ll watch this drama,…
This drama is so good to watch in full tho. Lee junyoung appears starting from ep6 while kim jaeyoung in ep7. Sometimes I watch drama from the middle because of some viral scene or the actors and ended up enjoying it. I hope it’s the case for you too~

what do you think, from the few lines that were spoken.., happened to the mom from her ex? she got what she wanted…
Hmm I think the wife is richer(?) so his mom is like a baggage. Maybe his career didn’t turn out well so now he’s beneath his wife’s family? Anyway yeongbeom didn’t deserve such life, I hope he can find his peace someday

watching a female centric drama just for man 😭😭
This op even ask on several comments whether the FL kissed another man. Lol a woman having multiple relationship in their life must be a sin for this person

YB and GM was right person, wrong mother in law💀
Unfortunately as long as his mom is still living they would never be together. It’s gonna take a long time for him to make a choice. And that’s just how people who live under obsessive control freak turns out. What a pity, them in love is so cute

I was afraid that episodes 9-12 would not be as good as the first 8 episodes, and I finally found out that my…
Finally, it deserved the 9+ rating

What an awesome episode 11. There are two different opinions on the break up of Geum-myeong and Yeong-beom.One…
Realistically, yeongbeom won’t ever escape his mother by himself. Do you know the stories of animal in circus? When they’re rescued and had their cage opened, they don’t have the courage to run away. This is why until old age he stays trapped and live miserably.

Now if geummyeong chose to protect and save him, she would suffer. Because his mom will do everything so she can control them, for example making them lose their job so they rely on her. From what I see in real life, people like yeongbeom will take a really long time to get themselves together. Because they had been controlled their whole life.

So the question is, if he love geummyeong as much as gwansik love aesun, why is it so hard for him to fight? We need to compare both those man’s live. Gwansik’s mom and grandma tortured aesun too. But gwansik was raised in patriarchal family, the position of men is higher than the women. The status of his wife, daughter, mother, sister is lower than him. He actually does have choice in his life. If you notice the scene before he takes aesun away, his mom and grandma did not scold him for defending her but tried to prove that they’re right in scolding her.

Yeongbeom has been controlled his whole life so he never got such choice. Of course this is why gwansik is amazing, living in that kind of family yet he didn’t turn into these patriarchal incel. Realistically I don’t think geummyeong and yeongbeom would ever get together again unless his mom dies. And seeing him in his old age remind me of those uncles that seem to have normal life but fucked up inside. Unfortunately for geummyeong and yeongbeom, the amount of love is the same as gwansik-aesun but not for their fate.

He told her he will leave his mom. She was right not to trust that word because he obviously wouldn't be able…
Maybe, unfortunately I can’t just say he didn’t man up enough. From what I’ve learned with victims of obsessive control freak, it’s extremely hard to convince they could actually leave. They don’t have the same psychological strength as normal people. They need some form of support to actually do that.

Of course I’m not saying that geummyeong made a wrong decision. It’s gonna be an uphill battle. You’re right he would be too weak to fight against his mom, and maybe he’s gonna be the one needs the saving. Even I would make the same choice to leave him. So I just want him to have his peace. Although maybe the only way he could ever have peace is his mother passing or his own passing

throughout vol. 3 movies are mentioned, can someone list them all? i know one is Cinema Paradiso. i’m curious…
The timeline indicator is everywhere in this drama. This person died, this person won the election, the new policies for this era, I think it’s all to immerse viewers that experienced those timelines

what, why? :(
Just read the comments few level below this one lol

I’m allowed to feel annoyed, especially since the ‘good’ fan like you aren’t rebutting them

He told her he will leave his mom. She was right not to trust that word because he obviously wouldn't be able…
I don’t think he in the end never left because he couldn’t. But because there is no reason to. The first time he wanted to rebel against his mom, the result is he hurt geummyeong and still couldn’t be with her. He has learned that nothing would ever go his way so he just live the way his mom wants. Being with geumyeong used up all the will he has. After that he is just left with the shell of his previous self.

Just like aesun said, the weight of everything his mom done falls back on yeongbeom.

I hope he can work it out and divorce. But I can’t imagine living my life knowing a simple act could have changed…
For me, I don’t even ask him and geummyeong to get back together. I just want to see him undo what all his mother forced him to do and live for himself. I hate it when a child had to suffer because of their parents. Hope he get his peace

what, why? :(
For me I just hate his fans, even before he came to the screen they tried to upstage park bogum by making their own poster for this drama. And their audacity to say that this drama will become big coz seonho cameo, when this drama is already topping the charts lol

This made me remember during startup how his fan said he carried the drama and throw hate to suzy and nam joohyuk

I cried when he kneeled to warm up her feet, why does fate plays a joke on them?! They’re so perfect for each…
Yeah it’s too sad… he’s suffering for the rest of his life…
On When Life Gives You Tangerines Mar 21, 2025
A lifetime is too long to rest it on a single choice, is exactly what yeongbeom life can be described as. His hesitation caused his whole life to ruin, his body still living but his soul gone. I know it’s hard to expect him to make different choice, but seeing him suffer like that makes my heart ache…

This is why my most preferred sad ending is if it ends with death, cause it’s force majeure, there’s nothing you can do about it. This on other hand… I can’t imagine living my whole life thinking what would have happened if I made different choice.
