Not really, once I clicked download an episode, there was pop up window to select episodes to download. And the 1080p was already preselected. After download finished, I tried and it played at 1080p.

One thing I noticed is that there is no choice of subtitle. There is only one sub which I guess it is preselected based on your language setting

I had problem like paid but subscription was not updated. You can try this
1. Open app, click on bottom right "Me"
2. Below your user id there should be your expire date of membership. Check if it is what you expect.
3. Contact their support if needed

Totally agree. One of the reasons I tend to avoid xuanxia is the draggy stories. The pace of this drama is just right, and I don't need fillers that I won't remember one month from now. This should attract more general audiences too. All for the better.
