I get what you're saying but her pride was just too much . Before the male lead left she could've told him not to go. Also i wanted to take control of her own life yes if you receive marriage gifts then you're the property of that man but that's the part i wanted her to be a badass. Character development was there honestly but not relationship side. She annoyed me a lot in season 1 so it was hard to watch season 2. Also like at first she cared about marriage but couldn't she change her views instead 🤷‍♀️

Problem with Korean historical dramas is that they are all based on true stories so most of them are not that entertaining. We see women not allowed in courts over and over , women not given rights . Noble people treating commoners bad and it never change till the end. No matter how good a princess is she will never be a crown princess or queen by birth but at least there are Chinese dramas like that

Hun what character development are you talking about. Her character would be okay if they removed the romance part cause that was the worst. I feel like ranting about it. I fast forwarded this series she is so annoying like for how many episodes chasing a guy who is engaged . Then audacity to mourn the death of the male lead but end up deciding to marry another guy . But she didn't change the entire season . One she is love with someone who is engaged. Two the fiancee is her friend. Three she is weird when it comes to relationship with the male lead. Four the audacity to mourn for his death and then decide to marry another men. For me she's one of the worst female leads
