I thought her monologue was touching even though it's a common story. As you said, KSK is an awesome actress who gave the words more meaning. I think the entire cast are great actors.

I'm a little more understanding of Hae Joon's mother, but I still think she was wrong. Hae Joon is already living with the stigma of a mother who abandoned him which is more painful than the shame of a loving parent with a criminal past. She didn't have to live with him, but at least contacting him would have been helpful.

I was beginning to empathize with Shi Jiu a little, but she is a villain at the core of her heart. It looks like our leads are finally on their way to mending their relationship and working together once more.

Exactly! She is seriously demented. She is his emotional and at times physical cage. She doesn't want him to be free.

For real! Like the brother, the mother acts like it's a teenage pregnancy. At least she refrained from saying anything insulting to the mom-to-be.

It wouldn't be a costume drama without one or both of the leads spending time behind bars, tortured, and on death row. I don't like that part, but DW will get her revenge, we know that.
