I'm still frustrated with the leads being constantly at death's door or getting kidnapped and tortured every single episode now. At this rate the final battle in the end won't mean much. Don't get me wrong I really like the main leads and show, I just can't stand watching them constantly lose to the villains.
Also, why would they change her one female friend to a foe?

l think the detective feels bad because he watched MR suffer for so many years and he wasn't able to solve the case. Just when he got close, suddenly the truth was revealed. Also, I think he doesn't trust JT.

There was briefly but it was only at the beginning. I was frustrated with it at first, but after the leads had character growth it's better now.

I think the detective is coming from the point of view that a crime was committed, which I don't understand because the statute of limitation has already passed. It doesn't make sense that he would contact SY about it.
I think MR doesn't quite know what to do.

I agree. MR is being overbearing with her newly found adult son. She can't change the fact that he has an adoptive mother who raised him well and with love.

She's so jealous she can't be happy with what she already has. I missed her saying that though. Did she say it in today's episode or in the previews?

She insists on doing it. MR told her several times to stop but she would not.

What bothers me about the frequent lies NY has told in this drama so far is that with 9 episodes left, she is still getting away with them. She hasn't suffered at all, except for the made-up ones in her mind. She is already lying and trying to turn MR against SJ.
JT may not be as bad, but he is also someone who consistently gaslights his wife and pretends to be good. Meanwhile, the guilt is eating away at poor HS. However, I think there is no way the writers will let him spill the goods tomorrow.
Meanwhile, poor DY and DR are doomed because of YJ is trash.
