i had to do a rough translation, but essentially KHM is pretending to be YSK and complimenting herself as an attorney. he catches her and she asks how long has he been there, he says from the beginning. i think they both ask each other why the other isn’t home, and this is where the translation gets murky, because he responds “there’s nothing there.”

ahh, me too! that scene between hasami and matsukaze where he said that he just finished another job, and hasami was like "yeah i'm sure that all", i thought they were going to give bigger crumbs, but still it was enough for me haha. they'll be eating ramen together for the rest of their lives and they'll eventually get together for sure. their scenes were the lightness that show needed and i hope the actors act together again, because they really do have amazing chemistry 🥰
(and yes THAT HEIGHT DIFFERENCE!!!!! the banter is so cute and the way they know exactly what to say to the other person is so great. i wish we'd gotten to see him comfort her at some point, but like i said, i',m still content with what we did end up getting!)

at least there's vibes! also maybe there will be crumbs in the ending or something, that sometimes happens in non-romance thriller jdramas. there will be an open door for the relationship (or at least it can be interpreted that way, and i think that's why they do it/make it so ambiguos so people who don't like romance won't be turned off and people who do won't be unhappy because there was nothing at all hahaha)
episode 8 was really good!! i think this one and episode 7 are my favorite ones in the whole series. i’m sad that it’s ending in two weeks but excited for the mystery to be solved :)

this is how i feel too! i love the movie so much, and i really liked the chinese adaptation too (in it’s own unique way, but movie is my favorite), but the reason i’m scared to watch is because i don’t see the cast living up to the standard and high bar fujiki naohito and yukie nakama set (especially with their chemistry). i saw in the comment above you’re watching it raw. as a fellow movie fan, what is your take on it? :)
