I am confused about chinas entertainment situation … they obviously have amazing actors on par and better than in Korea and Japan… but then some of these drama ones are just so questionably bad… maybe they’re going for volume here and looks?

NN is super selective which I guess is good… doesn’t dilute her brand? Or maybe she doesn’t get as many projects iono she does more films too right?

I think Ni Ni is a great actress... i loved her and Chen Kun in Rise of the Phoenixes

yeah agree with both of you here re BL. I think people like her because she's attractive and just very fun/sweet/likeable.

I like tan song yun a lot but you'll never find her in fantasy... go ahead is hands down one of my fav dramas of all time. she was so good in that one. however, in some of her modern ones she's also just so so but then i blame the script not her

yeah i've watched military academy and a couple others... i think i want to see her play something more serious or out of character. just a personal preference. i like her as is as well!

she's def above avg! i think reba is above avg too! angelababy is uhm... and Yukee just doesn't captivate me for whatever reason.. her acting isn't bad but iono what is missing

i highly recommend rise of phoenixes. it's long but damn, what a great drama

i am excited for that drama... and i def love BL but agree that her acting seems too bland sometimes. even in TTEOTM... LYX carried the acting for everyone including her. she has a few looks and that's about all we get. that said, i just love her so i'll keep being a fan. but if i were to be critical, she can def improve her acting <3

yeah her personality is great! i do want to see more range though... yu xushin's new drama with ZLH seems amazing and puts her in a new type of role. i wanna see BL challenge herself more. she'll get there!

i'm hoping these actors will all continue to get better. Song Hye Kyo slayed in The Glory... she finally proved to people that she can act! also xian xias feel like the potato chips / fun snacks of content. hard to expect film or serious historical drama level acting from these although i also hope that can change!
