Ki-chul already lost his best friend, now his cousin came and says to get revenge on his cousin death, wht if…
Well I honestly feel that it wasn't natural for me, it's a spontanous reaction on first time watching. Maybe because I've seen this trope done better before in another drama. It might already raise my standard, but now I'm curious about where the story is going, we have 9 more episdes. so plenty of chances :)
The charcter who died was very close to Jung gi chul that's why he is emotionally connected there. That's why…
I didn't say I dislike the drama, I said the pacing is the best part for me but i have my quibbles, and it's my opinions and reasonings and personal taste as a viewer.
If these combinations works best for you, GREAT! Then it's your new favorite, I'm happy for you!

yes i know i watched ep 3, this happens after he accept him on his team. of course this wil happen sooner or later, because he's undercovering, we know that is part of the trope.
i meant that it isn't believable that Gi Chul defends Joon Mo to be by his side so strongly to his gang before he's on his team, and yea.. well i gotta accept what happen now because I'm intrigued with the story. My statement here doesn't mean I don't like the drama in general.
That's just my take and i have my reasonings. Anyone can like what they like and vice versa. take it easy
PS; i appreciate if you put a spoiler tag to protect people who haven't watched it yet :)
No need comedy in serious dramas, where every scene set-up for the suspension comdey wouldn't work. There's very…
For me, a slight comedy that comes from character quirks are giving me much emotional attachment to the characters; for example like Park Bong Su in Healer, or Lee Yeon in Tale of Nine Tail 1938, or Kang Yo Han in The Devil Judge, or Baek Hee Song in Mr.Sunshine... Because they have these little funny quirks, I love the dramas. I'm not talking about the comedy level as in Vincenzo because that one doesn't work for me, tbh. I don't need a romance plot, but I need complex characters that make me want to wag my fingers on them and can't take my eyes away from them. So, sorry if my standard is too high.
What you said on action dramas output is below average I agree completely, so most of them I might rate 7 or lower... this one being 7.5 justifies other action dramas I've watched and loved, being they moved me and got me thinking about them long after I watched them.
Ji Chang Wook being an action king, I have no doubt with this, agree 100% and he's my first crush and favorite actor. But I'm being fair that I'm reviewing The Worst of Evil and not reviewing Ji Chang Wook as an actor.

Gi Chul is attached to Tae Ho, yes that's true! but Tae Ho and Tae Ho's cousin (whose a stranger to Gi Chul) are two different people and Gi Chul has never stay in touch with Tae Ho's relatives, so it's not a very convincing/believable premise for me.
Unless Tae Ho and Joon Mo have the same faces, then I will believe that. hehehe (that really happened in another drama, though)
What i don’t get is why they make it a big deal of Joon Mo's complaint being someone who wants revenge for his cousin. If i were a thug i will let him leave and don't bother... as he's not a threat to anyone, so no action needed.
