In the novel, BDJ does meet the young Wuxin. He is the one that banishes Sky's Beyond and takes Wuxin as a Beili…
No one r*** her in the novel and I did not buy the stupid improv in the drama. She agreed to marry and Roujin did not need to force him to perform her duty.
Only the creator, who helped with writing the screen is the same, Zhou Mu Nan. For DY, + Lin Cong HeFor TBOY,…
Tbh, I first thought TBOY has the same writers as DY, since MDL has no screenwriter listed for DY (I watched DY 17 eps first then TBOY) so I was surprised to find out how well written & executed TBOY was. While continuing watching DY, I started to feel weird that some scenes in DY were different from what TBOY provided, as if the screenwriter did not watch the whole TBOY episodes. Then I found out that the screenwriter is not the same.
My question too. Not only we are not granted his striking visuals without that silly hat but now not his person?
With only 9 episodes left, I feel pessimistic of a clear view of Liu Yue, or other young masters. Prod probably just show them all in the last 2 episodes, squeeze all the characters in a short story.

I totally can relate to that. I have not read any of my books since covid. And yes, working with a computer from 9-5 also discourages me to look at small letters on books.
I hope they release the fast track soon. I don't like to be kept hanging hahahaha I just finished watching Blossoms…
Not yet. I saw on Weibo that Zhang Linghe is on the top of actors list so the drama should be popular. I love ZLH in My Journey to You, even though the ending left me screaming π

WJ was the emperor 2nd fave (after Xiao Se's mom) and he visited her often, compared to the other women in the harem. She was cold to him but I doubt she could refuse him for bedding. She agreed to marry him and surely knew her duty. The r*** plot is nasty and does not make sense for that era.

My friend gave me the link to the novel. I am glad the English trans was confusing enough I stopped reading it π But it is true that I usually read the book then watching its live action, but rarely the other way around.

The drama adaptation changed quite many things from its origin. Although this one is fine for me, just like the romance related scene alteration. The r*** scene is the worst ever improv.
I have to say, the fight scenes in this drama are really one of the worst I've ever seen in Cdrama
As a wuxia lover, I like the martial arts world in this drama, the martial artists and their techniques. The use of CGI is good and relevant to the scenes, where the masters use their high qi.
I even ask for more and would prefer it if I could have less idle talks and more fightings.
It is understandable if not all viewers are happy with the drama. All dramas have their own lovers and haters.

I wish the same. Too bad we will have another no weekend show. I am rewatching TBOY for the 3rd time (for Xiao Se & Qianluo scenes). I tried Snowfall. Placed it back to my to watch list, until I know the ending. Will try I am Nobody & Love's Rebellion next

I wonder why prod used different writer for DY π€

I will be missing you then since our next watch is different.
