Please tell me the drama adaptation is nothing like the novel except for the names of the characters. But based on the synopsis seems like the drama is totally different from the novel. I got so excited when I saw WCR and ZLH are finally in the same drama and read the novel. Bad move, I found it disturbing.

Same here! Promised myself not to watch currently airing dramas as it really is difficult to wait for the new episodes and do not like to invest a lot of time on a specific drama but this was a total exemption. I subscribed to Viki, always here in MDL and Twitter waiting for news/spoilers. Never have I thought I will do this again 🤣 While waiting for the new episodes, I am busy rewatching the previous episodes 🤣

Don’t worry, ep 31 will be focused on the mother and son jumpers, cyanide poisoning scene and hospital scene of SY. There will be no shadow of the problematic brother 🤣

I honestly could not enjoy the episodes today though I was eagerly waiting for it because of all the news about the hate propaganda the leads are getting right now. I should’ve just kept on watching and did not bother searching weibo and twitter.

I hope it pushes through and these hate comments against them stop. I thought kdrama netizens are the harshest but cdrama netizens are so bad.

This is so sad 😔 I know both YY and WCR are from the same agency, can’t they do something about this now?

Exactly my sentiment especially regarding WCR. YY has been on the spotlight for quite some time already and has a solid fan base and most probably know how to handle these issues already. But WCR is a newbie, she is such a great actress. To be sucked into this mess because she is the FL of this drama and once rumored with YY is totally uncalled for. I’ve seen a lot of chinese actresses worthy to be criticized of their acting but WCR is different. Such a pity for her to be dragged into this issue, i hope things will still work for her in her upcoming projects.

I feel sad for WCR though. She is definitely one of the most pretty chinese actresses I’ve seen and a very good actress as well but because she is still considered a newbie, she is always downplayed.

So sorry for asking but out of curiosity, how is the drama doing in terms of rating back in China? Made a mistake of opening a tweet from what I see is a YY hater and avid fan of Dilraba 🤣 she keeps posting that viewers in China are not liking this drama and have a lot of negative comments.

Definitely agree! Reading the novel and seeing how the actors portray their characters is really on point. Yes there are a lot of added scenes that are not on the novel but they were all good. What you’ve pointed out about the point of view of the characters and not as viewers are correct. I hope more people give this drama a chance!
