I don' tcare about who's "more cunning" I just care about if this show is going to be good or draggy and wasting…
well i do care since for now the plot focuses heavily on rivalry between GZY/GSJ & abilities of YWS and SGQ as assassins/spies so it's understandable to focus on how both pairs will be outsmarting each other
this is exactly what i thought, SGQ's cunning is very obvious, but once i rewatched i noticed what you said about…
when i was watching SGQ with her master i was like "wait, she seems so adorable here, listening to what she is told, not like her usual 'i'm a mei, I know more" behavior meanwhile YWS with her master was like "can we skip to the next part already?"
I think YWS is playing each one of us. Like, obviously writers want to highlight how SGQ thinks of herself as…
forgot to mention, i love how lu yuxiao plays with her eyes, i'm so impressed by her, she has that evil look when she wants, but can be soft a minute later
I think YWS is playing each one of us. Like, obviously writers want to highlight how SGQ thinks of herself as smarter and the way she reasons sometimes is mind-blowing, but somehow YWS was the one who memorized the path and SGQ benefited from it, YWS started her plan right away to catch GZY's attention, meanwhile SGQ used the opportunity given to her by YWS to get the attention of GSJ. at times i think SGQ is all talk, no actual spectacular action so far. i can't deny she's smart and cunning, but i want her to show us something more. same with the way YWS figured out the way with the letters and how to use it to gain GZY's sympathy, she was also the one who discovered first that GZY's brother and father died and he became a new Sword Wielder. She was the one who explained SGQ everything and then used to lead conversation the way SGQ would tell her more about GZY since she is more knowledgeable about these things. In flashbacks when both of them are with their masters, i noticed YWS being less emotional than SGQ when she was with her own master. It's as if their personalities took a turn once they entered the mansion. idk how to explain it, but it's like SGQ is using the information given to her before the mission meanwhile YWS gains the information herself, that's why she's ahead of SGQ when it might seem like the opposite. i see many people writing "i can't wait for YWS to show us something more, for now SGQ is more cunning." well, i don't see it that way after paying attention to details. i love both of them, i just think YWS is playing SGQ, see how SGQ was like "we shouldn't cooperate", but every time YWS visits her, she gains another new information out of SGQ after purposely letting SGQ know about something knew she found out or her plans. i love both of them, i just want to see SGQ gaining some new information herself instead of using the knowledge passed to her by her master. and please, give me some fighting scene with her as soon as possible, i know she will slay this. also, it's impossible for YWS to be only a chi after so many years in wufeng. i feel like she knows exactly how cruel people have to be to advance higher, but she purposely lets SGQ tell her how hard it is to be on higher level so SGQ won't keep her guards up with her. now, GZY also has lots of cards to uncover. he knows about all the rumors about how unhappy his mother was with his father, but yet when YWS was telling him how she wanted to run away, he wasn't like "okay, maybe i should pick someone else to be my wife so she can be free" and instead was like "okay, since she wanted to run away so badly, she would be perfect to be with me", like he played right into her plans but such a funny situation knowing his mother's history. i know he's hiding something and for some reason he's the hardest person to figure out. GSJ - hot, smart and "evil", love him and i just know his relationship with SGQ will be so interesting, a power couple in the making
im actually pretty upset rn, cause ppl won't stop comparing Sabrina and miaoyi. I love when I fly towards you,…
when exclusive fairy tale aired it was a mess as well, just look at comments under exclusive fairytale, the same thing happened on tiktok, not to mention the fanwars on weibo started by yiran x miaoyi shippers that were hating on junhui and then it became a war between two fandoms. many carats (seventeen's fans) said that they can't enjoy the drama in peace because everywhere they see comments comparing the dramas and actors like you see EFT edit on tiktok and comments are like "what about rangrang?", "rangrang is better", "that's zaizai". i made few edits of jun with zheyuan and other actors and ofc there was always a person who had to write "what about rangrang", it's so annoying and it reduces both miaoyi and yiran to only one role. people need to grow up, personally i enjoy all 3 dramas and hope people will give all of them a chance
i seriously need people to stop comparing exclusive fairy tale to wifty and start treating it as what it is - a completely different drama with different genres. yes, both are set in highschool but exclusive fairy tale leans more into comedy genre since it's a rom-com and it's meant to be a bit unserious show that you watch when you are down and that at times touches into more serious topics, meanwhile wifty is more slice of life. i enjoyed wifty a lot LOT but i laugh a lot more watching exclusive fairy tale so i enjoyed both shows for different reasons. i think that if miaoyi wasn't a lead in both people wouldn't bother so much to find reasons to be like 'oh this one is better than is one'. anyways, here are some reasons why i also enjoy exclusive fairy tale so far and why i would recommend people to try watching it: - interactions with their parents. it's been a while since i was like "oh so their families exist" and they have actual conversations with their parents that don't revolve only around their grades and school. like come on they watch dramas and play games together, it really gives me so many comforting vibes. - parents that aren't against leads being together and are supportive from the start, especially mothers - FL isn't dumb and I don't know why people are like "oh again a drama where FL is dumb" like maybe it's a you problem if you think "not having good grades = being dumb" 🤷 also i found her really relatable about her not having any interests and not having good grades (usually FLs in dramas at least have some interest if they don't have good grades). you know why? because most teenagers in the world are like that. most people don't even study in university something they like and just go to uni because they think it's a key for successful life and also because that's what their parents want. i was like her so maybe that's why i relate so much - after high school i didn't know what do to with my life, i wasn't interested in anything and my parents were pressuring me to study english at university but against their will i took a gap year and in meanwhile i did some thinking - now i study asian studies with chinese at university and i've never been happier in my life. i also would never think i'm dumb because i had bad grades at high school and didn't take study seriously which changed now when i study something that I enjoy a lot. - ML, trying to not be biased, but as mentioned before - i think performance was affected by voice actor that doesn't match the emotions of the actions at times. it's gotten better (or maybe i got used to it already) in later episodes so it doesn't bother me anymore. also, i like when he does things he would never do alone when he's with FL and her friends. because as many people seem to forget, he is supposed to have problems with social intersections because of how people treated him as a child when his father left his family. notice how with FL alone the acting is more natural. i see this awareness and i notice it disappearing with time. - yin zihan and linglong aren't my favorites but i laugh a lot thanks to them, they are so dramatic but for some reason i don't feel like skipping scenes because i don't feel that cringe. still they irritate me at times but i'm glad they are in this drama, especially yin zihan x ling chao being a perfect match 😭 okay, i'm ending my rant here for now, the rest will be in the review once i finish watching.i just want to add that it's really okay to let go and enjoy some unserious things in life so once you let go of those "it should be more serious, FL should be this, ML shouldn't be that", i think you would enjoy this drama a lot. and if you don't, it's also fine just judge it based on your experience and not on how it compares to other dramas. respect zhang miaoyi for what she is - which is THE ACTRESS so don't limit her to role of Su Zaizai for the rest of her life, especially when she has a lot other school based dramas coming out soon.
