The support cast are main leads from their own respective dramas. And this drama was film earlier and way before broadcast of Love Between Fairy and Devil, MJTY, and Kunning Palace- where ZLH got more attention and momentum.

last week i decided to give chinese dramas a chance for the first time and i searched some high rating dramas…

They censor the kissing scenes. So cdrama watchers watch the BTS instead. That is where the real thing is. BTS of kissing scenes in Cdramas are better than the actual cut that made it. But they are less stricter in web drama and mini series compared to mainstream dramas. Also, there are a lot of Cdramas being released, so you need to pick the quality ones to watch. I only watch the dramas that are popular and high rated in China bcoz they are mostly better.
